Do you have to switch to vinyl input on both, or can you be playing digi on one TT and real vinyl on the other?

Thanks for your comment. Yes you can switch one to vinyl while playing digs on the other. the waveform looks weird on the software, but it does work. Good luck.

Hi CHRIS, thanks for your comment. Yes the video is a few years old now so I can’t guarantee the latest drivers for your DJ software would work ,although I think most of them are backwards compatible. Unfortunately the only way to know is to try it. I’m not in possession of this equipment at the moment, so I can’t test it myself. It would be great if somebody could leave a comment to say whether it still works, good luck.

My backup is an iPad works ok for me. hope you managed to sort it out. Just a quick question are you using an external drive for your music? And if so is it a normal hard drive or SSD external drive. VDJ can freak out if the music source is suddenly lost or interrupted. Just saying if this info help. Tony

Hi Tony. Thanks for the comment. No my music is on my computer HD. Its never happened since so think it was the cable. Ive also upgraded my Mac now . so should be fine now. Ha you realise ive just jinxed my next gig. 🙄

You’ll just have to contend with the spinning Ball of Doom 🤪 Lol I change my Mac before that last gig and didn’t know what was going to happen. Working live totally different to testing in the living room, fortunately just a few missing MP3 files on VDJ. I relocated them easily enough as all my music is onboard, oh and I had moved some folders also I forgot to move over my Irish music folder and it was at Patrick’s day 🤢 good luck Tony

Bravo. I was confused at first because I thought you had a pre-recorded mashup to play yet you were doing live stuff. Then find out the whole thing was on-the-fly. Excellent.

Two external hard drives and iCloud storage is NOT overkill in my opinion. Especially because I lost a lot of music recently when I tried to update my iMac OS but didn't back up anything. Dumb. I'm still waiting to backup my music because I remember trying it one time by just dragging and dropping (not iCloud) and because it was a large library, it took a long time and never actually finished. That's when I kept reading about programs to use for backing up big libraries. I just got confused and still am. Everyone talks about backup up but no one shows specifics.

Im not sure if it can be done automatically . Maybe copying the playlists onto USB in order may be the way.

It shouldn't be coming out the speakers if your mixer is on the right selection. but you will hear it from the vinyl as thats the signal the vinyl has on it im afraid.

@The OldsCool DJ yes, I'm hearing it from the vinyl, not speakers. Very annoying when I'm not playing loud to not annoy the neighbours. Such an annoying tone. Surprised nobody every points this out. Kind of regretting getting a DVS system now.

@@JD83000 Thats a shame. Yes you’ll hear it if you’re playing at low volume. What about using headphones to listen and mix on. Like James Hype does. Not ideal but may block out the tone. Good luck i hope you find a solution.

Hi, could you tell me if your cue points were also transferred over from your external hard drive to the MacBook... I tried what you explained but for some reason the cue points that I've set on my PC don't show up on the Mac 🤔 Also, what year is the MacBook Air? Thank you!

Im a die hard virtualdj user and did this back in 2020, just analyzing and exported it without doin all this. It played on pioneer cdj nxs2 2000s and worked great, had multicolored waveforms. The other djs were trippin

Haven't noticed nor worry, because if they aren't, im quick enough on my feet and know my wavs to be able to set them before hand or immediately after I load a track. Lets be honest, with the amount of new tech out for mixing, we have enough time to do that and alot more if you know your music

@@romelomadzima4599 i put all my music in a folder marked DJ Music, and store that in the music folder on my Mac. then direct VDJ to that folder. Always keep your music in one place . As VDJ doesn’t copy your music, just the file path to where its stored. I hope that helps.

This happened to me too!!! Arrrrgggghhh!!!! I had a 2010 Macbook Pro and 1 hour before a wedding, it crashed! After researching later, it's a common problem with a chip on all 2010 and 2011 Macbook Pros. I sent it to a place that specializes in fixing this and it's been working great ever since.......... After I paid 4,000 dollars for a brand new one though lol! But man, talk about breaking my balls! I dj'ed that whole wedding off of my ipad pro with DJaypro loaded on it. Sweating I tell you!!!
