Surprised the Waco YMF-5 didn't make the list, but I'm glad the Staggerwing did. Overall a pretty good compilation.

Fun fact: The T-6 was also used to train navy pilot trainees the rigors of carrier landings. The USN designated the T-6 as the SNJ and several examples were fitted with a functioning tailhook.

the red, white, blue “Sonex” is actually a “Onex”, how do I know, beause it’s mine. It’s also a very modified 80hp aerovee in order to run sustained inverted. it would be nice to be asked before being “reposted” like this

The Douglas DC3 and Beechcraft Model 18 "Twin Beech" should probably make the list but since I'd have a hard time bumping anything on your list I guess I'd have to make it the "Top Dozen" .Most if not all Sea Furies that compete at Reno have had their sleeve valve Bristol Centurius 'plants replaced by Wright R-3350s. That's the dominant radial there. Even the Grumman F8F "Rare Bear" had it's P&W 2800 replaced with the R-3350. Sea Furies were used by Cuba as late as the early '60s during the "Bay of Pigs" fiasco. I believe they were one and one in either shooting down or being shot down by A26 CIA operated "Invaders" that could've just missed making a top dozen radials list themselves. .

The Pitts S1S rolls at 180 degrees per second, the S1T comes with symmetrical ailerons rolls 270 per second , and the 2 passenger 6cyl Pitts S2B rolls 240 per second. Certainly NOT 400 per second !

The J-3 cub was actually also used in the same way as the Cessna L-19. I believe it was just a standard or clipped wing one.
