I think that the language requirement is kind of stupid in many instances. While I appreciate our language, I would also like to hear and speak more English and I don't think it would change in the state of Finnish as our main language. I feel that at this day and age most Finns generally speak and understand English relatively well. Obviously certain jobs require a decent enough Finnish skill but there are many that really do not. Just recently I met a foreigner whose wife had some AI engineering degree but couldn't get a job because she didn't speak Finnish - which was absolutely super stupid - IT is mostly English anyway and also a field with a lot of demand. I would feel kind of bad for any Finnish IT professionals who do not get along with English...

Hi, I have secured an admission Bachelors degree in one of the universities in Finland. I have been offered a 40% percent scholarship slashing my tuition to around 6000€ atleast for the first year. After first year the scholarship will be awarded based on required credits in the previous year. I assuming I maintain the scholarship, will be able to to raise my tuition and stipend the rest of the years of study? Take note that I have prior 5+ experience in Software Development back home. My second question is, If I move together with my spouse, is she gonna be allowed to work whilst am doing school?

WROOOOOOOOOONG!!!! if cops find cannabis from you, they will just say dont smoke it anymore and take it out and throw away.. you dont really get in troubles... tons of times cops takes my weed away and said that.. even when i was drunk, smoking and tripping at home and yelling at them to shoot me, they just said they will not see what i have on my table if im going to sleep... only if you have meth or coke etc they will put you in jail for 8-12 hours.. thats it...

But im not saying welcome here to smoke! if you smoke do it far from the people or inside the house and keep your windows open so the smell goes away...

The first thing you need to do before moving to Finland is to learn the language. Don't expect the Finns to bow to you and speak your language in their country. And, moreover, Finnish is unrelated to the other Nordic country languages, it is not Germanic, which even English has a lot of...think twice.

March is the best time . We could see sun most parts we travelled. Just be careful not to skid on black ice. Have good grip underneath your shoes. Hand and leg warmers are superb. Do buy from any sports store in your country or buy in Euro in their markets.
