so, keep in mind that you will hear two references to upper-end movements coming from CN: "fake" clean and "real" clean. CLEAN is the factory name. what you are seeing in the video is "real" clean (vs. genuine rolex 4130), which is the closest reproduction / replication of the rolex 4130 movement. there are then copies of the "real" clean, which are known as "fake" clean. the "fake" clean movements are repro'd in other factories and may use other movements / parts as a base. replica watches with the "fake" clean movements run around $500, and have thicker watch cases for fitment. to the eye from 2 feet, the watches appear very authentic. the "real" clean factory movements are nearly identical in every way, and the watch cases are 12.2mm which matches the genuine spec. replicas with the "real" clean factory movements have 12.2mm cases, and can be had for $900 or so. the $90 copies you see on dhgate and other sites very often use either ETA or quartz movements, and the fit and finish is much lower than watches containing either of the reproduction 4130 replica movements. it took me a lot of research to get this information. so, if you want a top-of-the-line replica, using the terms "real" clean factory will get you to the right quality and price point. personally, i could never afford $30k+ for an authentic daytona, but i love the look of them and want a nice replica, at some point, on my wrist.

What you are refering as “clean” is actually SA4130, thick one is called a4130 and it just 4130 with decoration plate over it, there also is sh4130, clean has started using it recently, also the “clean 4131” is just a sh4130

GEN3285 is the genuine Rolex movement and provides the target for the CL3285 which is made in the CLEAN Factory in China. CL3285 movement is built up from a CL3235 Dandong movement. CLEAN is the closest (nearly identical) to the GEN movement. The SH (Shanghai Factory) movement is an iteration up from a 3185 movement and differs greatly from the GEN or CL movements. I have found that a true or "real" CLEAN factory replica watch will be in the $800 to $1000 range. The $500 replicas will be a copy of a copy or cobbled together movement, or a "fake" CLEAN movement. The $100 replicas generally use different materials and quartz movements. In China, the "real" CLEAN movements set the manufacturing standard and are the ones to buy. They are nearly identical to genuine movements and can be serviced with just about any rolex part, or at least this what I understand after having taken a deep dive into understanding Chinese-made replica movements.

Clean has an exclusive agreement with dandong movement factory who makes the dd3285 movements. Only clean is getting those movements so I guess they’re calling them cl3285.

@@johnathonmullis4234, thank you. please keep in mind that there are other 2nd-tier manufacturers that i believe buy the CLEAN factory cases and bracelets and put their own FAKE movements in them. my understanding is that these are called FAKE Clean watches and sell for around the $500 mark. so, basically what i have gathered is that there are really 3 price points... approx. $100 (quartz and non-authentic CLEAN cases and bracelets, copies of copies), $500 (cobbled together 3285 non-DD movements with CLEAN factory cases and bracelets), and then $800+ (1:1 copy DD [DangDong] movements in CLEAN factory cases. i've been geeking out on this body of info for a few months, but this is what i have gathered so far. please comment with any corrections. i have a CLEAN Daytona panda with a 1:1 CLEAN 4130 movement that is stunning. my local non-rolex watch guy (works mostly on rolex, omega, breitling) was blown away when i showed it and the movement to him. i have just ordered from JTime a CLEAN 1:1 rep GMT II pepsi. they are most wonderful to work with.
