I used my one for 4.5years and yesterday it stopped heating. When I opened it I saw that the heating element has separated from the aluminium inner container . I will have to buy a new one, but I am impressed by withstanding more than 1500 cycles.

I thought i had run out, so it was a suprise when I found I had five gallons in. What I would do is : run down as much as possible, then jack up the left side of the van so it leans to the right, there you will find the filler pipe, disconnect the clip on the filler neck side and undo the bolt which holds the plastic pipe in place, once you have seperated those you can get a pipe into the tank, I attached it to small bambo cane with a couple of cable ties which makes it easier to put the pipe where you want it, and I used one of those small 12 volt pumps running off the van battery. Good Luck.

There should have been a clear rubber/plastic tube that came with; if cut and put the plastic hose onto the drip part you can direct where the drips go, like long enough to actually go into the top of the jug. That lesson I learned after about 6 months of use and now never have the water going where I don't want it to go (as long as I remember to ensure that the rubber tubing is inside the jug). I also overfill a bit, as you do, and just wipe out the bottom each time with a bit of vinegar. I change the charcoal filter whenever the water begins to taste yucky.

the only guess was they were taking it to build a hive, we had to fight hard to deter them all summer, filling the hole with silicon and we found spraying a mixture of water and clove oil worked quite well and we got an imitation hive and hung that, but there was always one or two hanging around looking for a way in, and we had to seal a couple of other entrances they made.

At least in the USA, when power is over .20 cents per KW hour, it is cheaper and smarter to buy distilled water, currently only $1.00 per gallon. Also, the store product has no off taste and the process is much more efficient.
@flatearthterrafirma8571 Жыл бұрын
I bought plastic gal jugs at the market for years but prefer my distiller for a few reasons: I don't like plastic (I use glass to collect it), in the summer I use my dehumidifier water so I get zero gunk in the bottom to clean and it tastes perfect, and for me it's less costly than £1 per gal

My distilled water tastes amazing and I live in the US. I use glass jugs and add minerals sometimes. I will never drink store-bought distilled water in plastic jugs. You can taste all the leached plastic. I get 4 liters of water in less than 5 hours, so I never have to run my machine overnight.

Seems like water conscious consumers are getting dupped into paying for plastic water because water distilling machines are a cornered market with limited cramp products.

@@yourstruly3349 My water is amazing and not to mention the health benefits of not consuming microplastics. Plastic is the worst. My electric bill is no different from prior to distilling and I use my distiller almost every day.

Brilliant vid. Was wondering about changing the carbon filter. Fully value you taking the time to do this! Using the same here and had no issues at all with; we discarded the first 3 lots but used to flush as we do bathwater. Some grey water also used for garden irrigation/purufication system. I digress. For past 5 decades we also have a flouride filter attached to any incoming pipes on every property resided in. Leaving distiller on to dry isn't an issue either, being used to accessing lemons & aromatherapy oils/herbs to clean everything we have successfully learned to clean up the mucky residue in the bottom that exudes from the nasties that exist from what is [ officially and unlawfully ] put in the water. We distill twice, then put through 2 water filters EVERY time prior to ingesting. So the process is constant & we about to invest in a secondary device. Testing regularly all these years guides us to this necessity, since everyone here ingests plenty of water daily. Sons & daughters of families outside ours have come to stop purchasing bottled water, invest in distiller and filters, yet advised all is pointless when no fluoride filter. Awakening the young to the dangers of such has been a lifetime commitment ✨ Should you wish, we can post the link for some good lemon juice & you only need 2 caps full after each use. We only use it when our home-grown lemons have been used up, but is really good! We've had same 5 litre one for past couple of years. The best way to prevent flood though, there is an option of a piece of silicone piping; thin enough to be held tightly onto outcoming spout on top fan part beneath the carbon filter block & short enough to just fit inside top of water collector/container. Wishing you well & much success with all your endeavors x

Only thing you have to watch on these Chinese necks is the factory makes the heel in different sizes, I buy necks and bodies from China, but I use the same manufacture, the neck pocket is 16 mm deep and 57mm wide so you need a 57mm neck, they make 56 56.5 and 57

It’s a simple process and a simple appliance so I hope everyone solved their problems. Following the instructions is the way to go. Going past the fill line will cause it to boil over and leak. Where I live the water is very hard so there’s a good amount of calcium deposits so after every use I cover the bottom with vinegar and let it sit for four hours. I wipe sides with vinegar and the inside shines like new. Every distiller has an automatic shut off and the deposits on the bottom means it’s doing it’s job of removing impurities. It needs to be cleaned after every use. Check the instruction sheet again. Good Luck with it.
