When you talk about auditions at about the 41 minute mark, I thought that, since Rex was auditioning for Monsters Inc. (a movie that is not his own), he would obviously have to audition. They get the roles they were made for automatically, but they have to audition if they want other roles (they most likely don't get it anyways but it's better than nothing)
