When I'm trying to increase the temperature a bit, the evaporator temperature is going down into -2 degrees and then AC is going to turned into a heater. Evaporator temperature is going up to the outside temperature and there is no more cold air flow. I tkinh that my solenoid valve is stucked open and not control the "power" of AC compressor. Nice video! I have a problem with mine (different brand) where recovery is taking long time. I started to inspect it and took apart some lines in the system. First I closed the ISV valves so any refrigerant wouldn’t be lost. Then I started to open some lines and noticed that refrigerant was escaping. This must be refrigerant that is still stuck in the lines since the ISV is closed right? Problem was it was quite much refrigerant that was released so I closed the lines again. Am I right thinking this must be residual refrigeration that is in the lines and not refrigerant from the ISV?
@johnsworkshop33123 ай бұрын
If you are sure that the ISV is isolated then it would have to be refrigerant still in the lines or another component. If it is a liquid then as it boils off its temperature should drop so you may be able to tell where it is trapped by checking for a cold area.
@knulleriboyАй бұрын
I noticed one check valve located between the condenser and filter that was stuck in closed position, that is probably why the gas/liquid accumulated in the lines and inside the big replaceable filter. I cleaned and freed the valve so it’s moving correctly. But recovery is basically not working at all, I can hear the compressor working but nothing happens. Any suggestions are appreciated!

I bought a 2005 Yukon, 218,000 miles, and the parking brake cable in the cab was missing so I replaced it. Then I realized the parking brake doesn't engage enough to stop it from rolling from even a slight sloping hill, entirely empty. So something is not working right. How should I confirm what is broken? Are there other components that can fail that would cause the parking brake not to work? Should I disassemble both rear wheel rotors and visually checked it out? Thanks!
@johnsworkshop33123 ай бұрын
If you have someone operate the emergency brake while you look at the back of the the two rear brake backing plates you can double check that the cable is moving. If that is the case then I’d recommend pulling the rear rotors to check condition of the shoes and other linkage components
