I would have a bid that hangs from the roof at the right end and then you just pivot it up against the side when you’re not using it. Then you have a lot more room to put crap in there.

All our products can be seen here on our web store: campncar.com/store You might find the Trunk Bunk to be a better option! We have sold many of these to Transit Connect owners. The standard Frontier Futon is likely too large for a Transit Connect, although we can customize it to provide a smaller one but it does cost more to do this.

Firsr time seen a camping bed opened in this way. Usually it always opens up in the length of the venicle. Hope enough space is left on the side of the van for storage ❤❤❤❤
