Your video is to the point,thanks I will point out after starting and idling charge was only 11.5 vdc , but once I reved the engine over 2000rpm I got 14.5vdc ,, the ECU must control the charging rate by time running and or rpm 😅

I just installed the same headlights. Luv them. Same Nissan. New paint job as well. However I have a problem. The turn signals only work normally when the headlights are not on. When the headlights are on, the turn signals front (& rear) start blinking very fast and the L.E.D does not complete the entire loop. Fun install, but trying to trouble shoot that issue.
@FearlessModsАй бұрын
@goliac492 I checked mine to compare. At first I was concerned it might behave differently because I have the LED taillights installed too. However, after everything was confirmed to be operating properly, I re-read your comment and realized you and I have different models of headlights. Mine have the white LED surround, but retain the incandescent blinker bulb. The LED surround is just a DRL and not a blinker on mine. I think you have these and maybe ask this guy…??? kzfaq.info/get/bejne/rcWEZ9Vjt76thWg.htmlsi=fF2RIA6yNB-WDWgj Look at 18:52 specifically! What is the tightening torque for the bolts of the pan itself. I have changed the new pan/gasket, but it's leaking. Thanks.
@FearlessModsАй бұрын
13:07 Unfortunately, I never found the torque spec, so I snugged them down evenly by hand. If I recall, they had metal sleeves in them, so the only danger of overtorquing would be stripping out the aluminum of the female threads, so don’t overtighten them!
@matasorentas5328Ай бұрын
@@FearlessMods Could overtightening these bolts lead to leakage (theoretically)?
@FearlessModsАй бұрын
@@matasorentas5328 I’m going to say no, because of those metal sleeves. However, it might be worth checking to make sure you didn’t pinch the gasket somewhere or that it wasn’t seated correctly. Also make sure that the mating surface on the transmission is clean and smooth.

Ok, so I followed this tutorial and it was very helpful cutting through the mystery of just digging into the job outright.. Direct labor time (Waiting on the wife to get the new alternator and her battery charged) this removal to full installation was about 2.45.. The wife said she was finding things that weren’t working right and quite a while started working again. Like the sports mode in the steering gotmuch much better and even her headlights which she was getting new bulbs all the time because they didn’t seem bright enough finally got a lot brighter. Never knew when a car depends this much on electronics how much that alternative plays a role into it. Great video…

I think I went with brand new for that very reason. It would be different if the starter wasn’t so buried and hard to get to, but with this one, I didn’t want to take any chances. Hopefully you found it with an ops check before you put the intake back on. My main two pieces of advice would be to go exchange it for another one…possibly brand new, and check all your electrical connections and engine/chassis grounds and make sure your battery terminals are tight and corrosion free.

I assumed, since it was red tape, that it was similar to 3M-type adhesive, which doesn’t usually do well at cooler temperatures. It was a nice day when I did mine, so it seems to be holding up perfectly.
