Practice with a metronome, lower string action, and minimize your fingers coming off the fretboard (economy of motion) 👍

Jackson Dinky Pro DK2 in orange satin, and also I had my dad drill it in when I was a kid 😂 it hurt to watch but ultimately worth it because now I can do stupid Buckethead crap 😁

I was really tempted to go that route but eventually i just was like "eh its not worth the effort". Instead of obsessing over mutliple takes and going crazy over little things like i used to be, i decided to make this series because it keeps me sharp and also trains me to not only remember the parts in real time, but to also improvise and come up with new stuff. Obviously i do 2-3 takes but I usually stop there unless there is something i want to incorporate that im not getting right. I will eventually put out more accurate and somewhat "edited" covers but i want to take my time with those and record high quality covers of songs that i like in my own way. Until then, it feels good to just play music for fun and not worry too much 😁

I am great at economy picking and decent at alternate. The con is when you have a lick that is not 3 notes per string and you can’t precisely hit everything in economy it is hard to go back to alternate picking to clean it up. It’s engrained in my head
