It's better to take it through the skin on the opposite flap to prevent 'cut through'.

I'm not a doctor, nurse or anything medical. But I think I can say this is a pretty neat technique to take care of these! Anytime a wound oozes something (not necessarily blood, sometimes that clear fluid) it continually gets in the way because it's so messy. It stains stuff or just is like an irritating constantly open wound in general. Makes' it impossible to use any sort of glue like Liquid Bandage too. Or so I thought. Essentially stopping the flow to be able to pull it off is a pretty good idea! Though I assume that you can't do so for too long because things need that blood flow of course. I got one of these stinkers yesterday being lax peeling a potato. Essentially I shaved my thumb tip off a bit with the peeler. The bleeding stopped pretty easily and quickly by just stretching a bandage over it to keep pressure on it so it clearly wasn't deep, but it's one annoyingly painful boy for the moment when you touch with it or touch it. Thus I've kept a bandage with antibiotic plus pain relief on it for the time being and trying not to hit the spot and to try and make it heal as fast as possible. So here's hoping it heals quick so the tenderness stops soon.

1. This a full thickness glaborous skin graft not a flap. 2. Many better colour matching and hidden donor areas 3. Rather than no 11 blade , no 15 should be used. 4. Local infilteration with adrenaline and lignocaine will give better hemostatic field than your ulnar block
