Interesting, that is basically the same thing as I do, though I do it in a written way: I write down: What keeps me from writing? Then usually the answer pours out: I don't like this, the person is at the wrong location, this and that makes no sense, it would be better if ... and downstream in the flow the solution comes up and I'm ready to continue writing.

I love all these tips! i'm not going to be doing camp nanowrimo, but i do want to get back into writing over the summer. my current project is dark fantasy series that focuses a lot on ideas of identity and imperialism. i'm still outlining and figuring out all the details, but i'm really excited about finally getting it down!

You should try and do either Goethe or TELC Zertifikat C1 or C2 before you leave Cambridge. It is the only proof of language that is recognised in Germany even if you went to Cambridge.

I’ve been considering the idea of trying to learn German for a while now - I’m itching to get that languages part of my brain back into action after stopping French at the end of high school! I have a German friend and a few native-English but German-speaking friends and thought that it would be the perfect chance to learn a new language and have people to practice with! Your video has given me the push to get it started!!

I'm learning or trying let's say to learn Russian (my mother's mother tongue lol) after having done Korean at uni. I'm kind of struggling now with how to structure myself and what to do compared to my experience with learning a language at university where you are given a lot of guidance whereas now I have to tailor everything myself and work it around having a job which is another thing to balance. I think I have a good grasp of HOW to learn a language as this'll be my second one but now it's more so of the discipline with myself that I'm finding difficult...

Yep, learning a language completely solo is so hard because of the disciple needed! The best way to get around this is to implement language learning into your daily routine, even just for 10 minutes. Discipline is much easier when it’s a routine and a habit!

how do you study? what’s your revision technique(s)?

It changes a LOT, but right now I use a lot of past papers to revise! (Since my exams aren’t very far away!) My favourite technique at the moment is recording myself explaining a topic in my voice notes, then listening back to it and making more detailed notes. If you can explain a topic fully, then it’ll stick in your brain!
