@dairylict
@dairylict 3 жыл бұрын
No we didn’t, and generally don’t. The built cedar oil does a lot. Sometimes a tongue oil, or linseed though, if customer demands. It’s hard to work around the bands, and keep it looking good over the years that way though, because cedar is so soft and takes the oil in with inconsistent/patchy looking results.

I was told to avoid placing the pump/heater equipment much above the tub's foundation level, since this can lead to draining and air lock problems. How did you fix this issue?
@dairylict
@dairylict 4 жыл бұрын
Use a a check valve, or one way valve, on the suction side. This will keep water from flowing out of the equipment and back into the tub. This is useful when servicing the filter/equipment as well. Generally, (without a check valve) if the water is draining back into the tub, it means there’s a leak at the equipment somewhere. Otherwise, the water stays in the equipment, because there is no air allowed into the system to displace the water. Like holding your finger over the top of a straw and drawing the straw out of the glass, the water will stay in the straw. But a check valve is good for servicing, so you don’t have to prime the pump every time you clean the filter. And with self priming pumps, it can still save time bleeding the system.
