This is a very clearly taught elementary treatment of the subject. However, I believe the best instructors introduce edges and hints of the depth and ambiguity looming at the more advanced end of their subject. For example, consider the dichotomy between "voluntary" and "involuntary" I.S. The fact is, given that very few polities on earth have governments whose policies align with their majority's opinions, priorities, needs or best interest, macroeconomic decisions of powerful actors - public but also private - are in effect non-voluntary and equally or even more difficult to alter from the vantage of a large domestic constituency than altering the trade/production decisions of a weaker external power. The private spending decisions of national constituencies - say summer tourism decisions of middling Americans to developing nations of in the Western Hemisphere, say to Dominican Republic vs. Costa Rica - could greatly affect those nations' incentives for the allocation of labor and internal capital resources (e.g., to agriculture vs. the tourism sector), than those same Americans' intentional political or economic action in their own country could affect trade or capital allocation policy of their own nation. This is just to show that the agency0 This notion of 'voluntary' vs. 'involuntary' then is massively complicated when one considers constituency instead of the social fiction of "nations", and the relative economic leverage of different constituencies within and between nations.
