Bought a toro 21 commercial gxv 160 honda the cam wore out in 60 hours replace cam but still think it wearing by the color of the oil I think the shaft out of tolerance never hit anything with the mower.

A pump sprayer filled with water & dawn liquid dishwash soap kills them immediately. I was very amazed the first time that I saw it... plenty of KZfaq videos to watch and confirm. I would certainly consider keeping a 2gal pumpsprayer filled with this in my truck if the yards I did were prone to these. Sure beats $8.00 for wasp spray.

Ok, As someone who has actually used and done seasonal tuneups both of these mowers I can give you all the good and the bad of these mowers. The one to avoid at all costs is the HXX 217. This mower is a giant pain in the bum to work with. The throttle control is touchy and tends to slip while working. Even replacing it is not a fix. Because of the throttle control being so finicky it makes starting and keeping a constant engine speed. Which causes the engine to burn poorly and smoke like a fien. The good is it’s liter than the HRR 216. Also this is a true push mower. It also a one pull ez-start engine The HHR 216 self propelled mower that features a walk at your speed propeller. The mower is easy to service for plug, filter, oil, and blade, the arm is two position adjustable and can fold down for easy transport or storage. The Downside though is the wheels wheels will wear off its treads faster than other Honda models of the same age and usage. The wheels are a OMP and have to be purchased through authorized suppliers. Also because the push bar folds down the starter string retracts and is more prone to wear. Also most of the parts are now disconnected. If you can find one I would recommend the HHR 216.

I have a 54inch the problem I'm running into is the adjustment to get it to go forward it goes backwards but it catches on that little nub when I push the bars forward any thoughts on what to.

He mistakenly ordered the inferior Vortex Copperhead line, rather than the superior Vortex Professional line - which is the excellent line that he cited as having glowing reviews.

For corners try those car detailing brushes the long round ones they look like round paint brushes shape they come in multi size packs so find the best one that suits.

When you are cutting grass, those blades are vibrating like crazy from all the turbulence of cutting the grass. The balance goes out the window but does help.

Something wrong with that hrx? I have the hrx217 200cc and there is nothing adding with the speed. I have to bring it down half to keep up. Have been using it just over 3 years commercial and I can tell you that has you're cutting is not even close to thick or short compared to Buffalo and kyk i have cut through on mulch and i only do it once. Besides all that i would take your hat over both those mowers. My straw hat is big but not that big and Australia sun is intense.

Is there any way you could measure the deck width of your trimstar 48" I need a precise measurement I'm going to drive 3 hours to go get one and I'm doubting the sellers ability to accurately measure. If it's bigger than 48" which many mowers are (not my Exmark metro) I will be in trouble, any help would be greatly appreciated!

4 years ago I made the switch to run non ethanol gas in my lawnmower, snowblower, weed whacker, leaf blower and chainsaws and I haven’t had any carburetor issues and no starts in my machines since.

I have the same setup like you with the edgit for he last 5 yrs. No need for the edger anymore
