Love the video and your take on bitcoin vs fiat money - are you going to cover how bitcoin can be both a commodity that can work for you and a currency at the same time - this is my concern about any digital currency is the inherent price swings can cause inflationary actions if they ever replace fiat monies - or should we always think of bitcoin as a commodity that can easily convert to cash and not worry about this?

There are 13 banks in the reserve system, takes 2 billion a year to do the work of Fed, different study different things, NY works in market, Philly publishes beige book on manufacturong, others due different things....All Income above 2 billion annually are returned to Treasury, which is why at any moment the Fed can buy any and all US government debt or market assets at instructions of US Treasury. Any bank that operates in US holding reserves is essentially a.member but it is a quasi public private corporation which gives all earnings above cost of operations to US treasury You as a bunch of others are reading 1920s propaganda, spread down through time and telling others who don't know what they are talking about what others uneducated told you. Nothing to do with US, Chinese surpluses with Russia finally settle buying US assets (equities, gov debt, paintings, bottles of rare whiskey, whatever). Not an if, how works. @@wealthpotion but wouldn't you agree that it's more important to have a diverse knowledge of all the tools available in your chosen career path? Yes, AI is quickly taking over the IT industry but when I spent a couple years majoring in computer science & IT one of the things we had to learn was binary code. Nobody uses binary anymore to code things but I still had to learn it. I had to learn how to code a website and not use a site developer tool. It's important to know the fundamentals as well as how to use the tools at your disposal. ALL the tools, not just AI.

I don’t understand why you talk like this applies to University as a whole, when it’s really just certain degrees. In majors where you write essays (rather than exams where you can’t use AI), then yeah this is going to work. What you said about the only two reasons you go to university are probably true if you’re studying something like business where you don’t get taught any valuable/challenging concepts. Imagine applying the same logic to someone studying to be a doctor for example, and you’ll realize that it makes no sense.

@wealthpotion yeah, but private printing is worse, it directly blows up your costs, not supposedly like the government, because of the beliefs of 1930 depression era philosophy. Private actually gives, when interest rates are low, printed out of thin air money to those who bid up previously created assets, directly. Someone pays more as can afford because depressed interest rates enable them to spend more on principle side. Or makes it cheap for McDonalds to retrofit all of their sites over last several years. Bleeding directly into financing costs in cost of goods sold calculations. Public printing is emphasi$ed by the lessor but it only mysteriously occUring of some invisible hand esoteric indirect way premised to occur thing, only believed by those wedded to the financial narrative fed on the nightly finance is economics news. Oil market rebounding, oh great, I was worried, means you will pay more at the pump. Wall Street tricked the masses. What is in my comment is actual high global macro? Not a bunch of people infatuated with gold and depression era austerian Austrians who don't really pan to today. Same who believed tax cuts grow the economy and in depression era Schumpetarian creative destruction us what will, but didn't occur as we moved further on the way to overfinancialization of economy, Asset bloat and economically destructive (fake) wealth, let's keep it bloated at all costs, inequality and be damned the ReaL Economy. But let's regurgitate what made us Finances dupes ad infinitum, we are so skeptically cool, just with economic distortions abounding everyone, must be because we are not listening to Goldbugs.

It feels like it’s up because it is up. The veil was placed long ago, the inflation rate isn’t the rate of inflation. It’s the year over year by month, inflation rate. So today’s inflation is 4% higher than last year on this date. But last years inflation rate is (made up number that’s probably too low) 120% higher than the same date 50 years ago. But nobody will report that today’s inflation rate is 125% over baseline.

@@wealthpotion The problem is trimmed mean and seasonal.
