Are you one of those guitar techs that will not do a fret job on a Epiphone ,but will over charge for a set up? So what are the numbers for distance between high E and low E string to fret ? You show a list of numbers from a publication that lists Factory Spec and my measurement, what number do I use? What publication are you using? What does it matter if you play country chords or barre chords past 3rd fret. I guess thats why I can only afford a Epiphone

I have three of these swampkasters. A hidden gem. They were produced by Bill Lawrence USA not Willie Stich (Bill Lawrence). They were produced in Korea and assembled in California. I have seen these with serial numbers on the neck plate, in the neck pocket or none at all.

At one time, I thought Dave was funny, but after a couple of years, I think he's just an old guy who drinks and makes videos. His hatred for Rickenbackers is tiring.

how do these older burns compare to the newer BMG specials? I have the 2005 Burns version, that one def took some visual liberties compared to May's actual Red Special (black switches, tremolo system/guard, etc). Not the end of the world, but was toying with the idea of getting a newer one and comparing myself.

Dave, you missed the most important adjustment on a Chet Atkins model. There are individual volume Wheels for the individual piezo pickups that need to be individually adjusted in the electronics cavity, to achieve proper tone of those models. You commented that this guitar does not sound like a classical and that's because the volume pots are wide open.

I got a flying V in my shop now that needs this done. I've done this on bolt on a neck in my home oven and it worked. Never a set neck until now. I need to make me something like this.

Those rics sure look like a p.i.t.a. to setup. I love my Fenders. Classic American engineering, simple, rugged and effective. Now Fender just have to fix the truss rod adjustment so I don't have to take the neck off several times to adjust. How about just routing out a small channel so an allen key will fit and making the pick guard to match.

Ok...I want to explain something to you Dave. I've heard you mention the lack of "Likes" (thumbs up) during your Live Sandwich Hour's quite a-bit. Here's the deal with ME in particular: if I "Like" you 5 or 10 minutes into the show---KZfaq algorithms shows ME, that is where I stopped watching; even though I watch all the way through. I could "Like" any time during the live show, and KZfaq will show I stopped watching at that "Like". So I hit the thumbs up at the end of the show so you can get due credit for a subscriber watching all the way through. P.S.- I thumbs up everything I watch on your channel, because you've taught me a lot, you're a good guy...and I enjoy the entertainment as well.
