If anyone is having issues with the endermite disappearing and you think it is because the endermen are killing it, well ever since the new update, they've been able to reach further so you have to put the endermite 2 blocks higher than in the video and also expand the wall. Also, don't forget that you have to make the spawning platform 1 block taller so that the endermen can detect the endermite and rush towards it. Also, make sure you put a nametag on it because I didn't do it as I kept forgetting thinking that nothing would happen because it is in a minecart, well I was wrong and I think it kept despawning. I kept everything the same other then adding a nametag and everything was perfectly fine after that.
