Thank you for this. Though I barely knew the man, this reinforces my feeling that he was a gentle,old soul. Known best probably for playing evil; Rickman brought us all joy and beauty in films like "Love Actually", "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy", and "Galaxy Quest". Of those, he once said to me rather conspiratorially, "Galxay Quest" was his favourite.

Everytime I hear this piece of music, something strange happens to my body and mind. It's a mix feeling of grief, happiness and anger. I can't explain. I do beleive that some music can take you a different world, where their is no pain and where ther is only pleausure. I do miss Alan a lot. And I feel like crying whenever and whatever his piece of work is mentioned.

I had the Bach piece from this film played at my wedding by my sister in law who is a professional celloist and it was beautiful and all our guests were mesmerised by the beauty of it. My favourite film and now Alan Rickman is dead and I'm devastated. So under estimated and under appreciated. He was a true star. God bless him.
