Sure, we can get to Mars, but flying cars? That's just sky-high chaos.

Is that really a jet engine or just an electric fan? A jet engine is actually by definition a gas turbine... In my opinion, what he's saying is technically speaking, well, dubious to say the least...

I don't get the argument? 300 feet under a helicopter is quieter than a drone at 150 feet. And I sure as hell can't feel either and neither do the trees. An MHX helicopter is barely audible at 500 feet. Also if LRAD can isolate ear destroying sound into a 1x1 meter colum for 1,200 meters with a device no larger than a car wheel since 2008; how the hell can't someone figure this out for evtol even if it was a true problem?

I agree that it will create some air disturbance and can be quite serious if there are too many of them.

It’ll only be the 1%, and only 20% of them would fly or have the balls, then only 10% of them actually will.. it’ll just be for fun, then you can only park certain places, not parking garages. I could see this maybe for hunting, or going to your lake house, cabin, cottage, or whatever, and you go alone or maybe one other person…

Isn't he just talking about VTOLs, and not eVTOLs? It's the batteries that make it more quieter along with the propulsion

If helicopters were sufficient then you wouldn’t have the interest in the VTols. Maybe the Vtols would be less noisy etc if they were better utilized. Maybe sitting too long in a garage causes the loudness. And maybe traveling far and away more often would possibly help. I think that’s the name of a movie about Canada Geese. I love those. I am sure I could think of how to improve your VTOLs but I’d prob have to have more info on them. If you would like my two cents on these, I would be happy to. You can pay me in the normal ways plus I love your water bottles. I was promised one already by someone in your mt kisco location….

Air taxis will happen before robotaxis. As it cuts out all the route complexity. And evtols have a solid backup safety tolerance. It will not just crash like propeller plans and helicopters do.

One day the Musktard cult followers will accept this man doesn't know what he's talking about and rants down anything that exposes this fact. Stop listening to him. The Sat Night Live skit that had him play acting Mars mission control and featured a mindless astronaut doing everything he said without logical resolution was more than comedy, they issued a strong message right in his followers faces while they were laughing when the minion took his helmet off in the Martian atmosphere. Pure scripting genius.

He's terribly wrong here. eVTOLS satisfy a sub-helicopter need and are based on a renewal energy source. That means they can expand to become a means to cover distances quickly and cheaply. That includes difficult, unsurfaced terrain too.

I think a standard number of EVTOLs for regional flights only within an hour commuting (via car) would be the most appropriate for the market. At least that’s what I think will probably occur given the technology today.

Once again the world's richest dumb guy chiming in on something without making a bit of sense.. loud? Have you heard airplanes and helicopters? Wind? They literally use helicopters for drying stuff.. there are a million issues with VTOL but I think the biggest is the threat they pose to Tesla and established transportation monopolies..

No. He is way off mark. Imagine you live 45 minutes from down town. And you have a minor surgery scheduled. But you cannot drive yourself. You have to find a ride, to and from, or hire a Uber or drive yourself find a parking garage, pay for parking and then a loved one shows up and drives you home. Now! Imagine a robot landing in your drive way and flying you to and from the hospital. No pilot. You do nothing. 🤷‍♂️ It’s not a helicopter. It’s a robot. Now imagine thousands of these angry bees working In unison…. Now imagine what the road system looks like? Fewer cars on the roads because the bulk of the traffic is overhead. Now imagine how much a freeway costs compared to the air overhead? It’s free right? The same technology in his cars will be the same technology in these robot drones. My drone already has many of the features built in. Obstacle avoidance. Restricted airspace observance, return to base function. Auto hover. Auto flight. Etc. The city of the future will utilize air flight because it’s cheap. Way more than what we do now. That doesn’t mean everything else will go extinct. But if I had a VTOL option to go straight from point A to point B faster than a 70 mph speed limit? No on ramps, no car pool lane, no cops, no traffic accidents, no semi trucks? Just blue air and fast flight? Which would you choose?🤷‍♂️

The problem is. You can have it all and they not know it because they don't ask questions. A 6' tall man could be rich and have the social status and be handsome as hell and these females today would never know anything about his accomplishments if he didn't smell good or something. They write him off at the smallest shit and never find out the rest.. I have it happen all the time. For example. I'm right at 6' and have accomplishments most guys don't, I'm good looking and have done well for myself. I knew of this girl at this event I go to annually so I wore expensive clothes and gave her the most confident approach and she willingly gave me her number. We only chatted a few times because we were from the opposite sides of the country. Next year I talked to her. I wore a t-shirt that I had done some welding in that had pinholes in it. And cheap shoes and a dirty cap.. She scoffed at me said she was pretty sure she never gave me her number. That's all I needed to know.. not wifie material. This summer I'm going to wear a suit and tie and do it again. I find it amusing how easily they're tricked. I might even video it and post it with the story
