has anyone with 99-04 mustang had a problem with the seat belt warning chime and light constantly going off not only when the seat belts are latched but also when the car is running in park and all the seats are completely empty, and the normal factory seat belt minder disable procedure will not activate so you can't disable system, there are no SRS codes???

1997 model year was the first year of the 5.4. With that said, alot of the early 97s would of been built in 96.

Yes, Octane will vary by station. It will be labeled on the pump. It is hard to find 91+ Octane that does not have ethanol, but it does exist.

Being an old automotive technician I’ve seen my share of 5.4 3-valve engines. The oil pump is the root cause of the majority of the problems that engine has. With Melling’s high volume and increased pressure pump, new roller followers, cast iron tensioners and the latest generation of Ford cam phasers coupled with 5W30 synthetic oil they’ll run better than new and do it for hundreds of thousands of miles. I’ve modified them and even with spotless oil change histories they still show evidence of oil starvation inside the oil pump, and on the cam journals . The Melling pump stops this from getting any worse. If you don’t do the pump you are really just prolonging the inevitable by putting chain parts in one.

If you truly can't get it out, you'll have to replace the hub bearing.

Appreciate your video I followed it and it seems to be working well to bring my batteries back up to 4 bars. I’m currently working on one of my batteries at the moment. Was curious since the video is a year old if you had to repeat this practice any to keep your batteries from doing this again. Thanks!

5.4 3V will be a good engine if you change oil every 3000 miles. 230k on mine, zero issues

I have a weird problem. 2001 F150 Lariat 5.4L. Crank and no start. Was sure it was the fuel pump, replaced it and still same issue. no pressure on the fuel rail. Relay and fuses good. Command side of the relay getting 11.7v when the key is to ON. 30 pin have 11.7v but 87 pin have 6.5v when key is to ON. Good signal from PCM. Inertial switch is good but have 6.6v going to inertial switch when key is to ON. PLEASE HELP! I am going nuts. Thanks

Very likely. Unless it has been key cycled a lot or is very low miles.

@KonaBlueSVT what if the truck had an engine swap? I have a 2000 f150, and the previous owner had an engine swap done. He said the mechanic got it from a junk yard. But he doesn't know what year the donor vehicle was.

It's is very likely a 2v still. A 3v swap would take a TON of extra work.

ive found that alot of these TJ negatives are myths, like how people say they cant go highway speeds (with the 4.0L they 100% can) but ill be the first to admit that soft top TJs are super loud 👍

I enjoyed it! It would do 70 without much problem on 33s! It rode like a wagon, but that's expected with short wheelbase and solid axles. I found that most the problems people have are due to worn out or incorrectly set up steering/suspension. Thanks for the comment!

I have done hundreds of sparkplug jobs on 4.6L and 5.4L , and coil packs don't go bad that often. Mostly what I see with misfire codes is just replace sparkplugs and coil boots

Very awesome content brother. I have sprayed carb cleaner around the back in my '98 E250 van, but couldn't really get around the front because of all the over-emissioned crap in the way... but after changing plugs, coil packs, injectors, fuel filter,... ran great for a couple days, now it's running very sluggish, weak as hell, and now I have no check engine light...

I am not sure what your question is here? The drive gear and the driven gear will have different numbers of teeth. This car was 8 on the drive 18 on the driven.

I’ve got a 99 Super Duty 5.4 2v with 210k. Previous owner seems To have taken good care of truck and power train as it’s My daily and runs excellent. The only thing is the motor sounds like one of those big box delivery vans/ UPS vans on acceleration. Like the fan is blowing air into radiator unusually loud. Is that normal?

I am not sure if the super duty used a different fan clutch, but on the F-150s that's a sign that your fan clutch needs replaced. I've seen it a few times.

If you don't mind the noise, it won't cause you any problems. My 99 f-150 did the same thing, I tried 2 different brand aftermarket ones and they both did the same thing new out of the box. I bought an OEM one and it never did it again.

nice looking pick-up. I have a 1999 Canadian spec Expedition Eddie Bauer 5.4-2V converted new to right hand drive in Melbourne & delivered to the US Embassy in Canberra. Have had a few intermittent misfire problems so we have been avoiding a the mountain range road to get home adding about an hour to the trip. Battery going flat is its latest trick. Maybe I can get the tools out after watching your videos.
