what lies!!!! i worked at worth crematorium in crawley about 20 years ago we had to remove the roof so the burners could be replaced as it needs a crane for the job, anyway we used to have our tea breaks with the staff, they let us watch bodies being burnt, and i assure you they put about 4 remains in a tumble dryer together and crush them up with ballbearings so the ashes you get could be anyones its lies ,a scam the cremotorium is a council service that you pay your council tax for its free to use!!!

Bull Crapp. My Grandad had many metal parts. We asked for his glass eye and his Metal hip joint. .. they denied everything. It’s s fake. Your Parents ashes are mixed with 100 other ashes. Ok. Think about it. Do they shovel out every bit. No they don’t. At the end of the day. They bring out a few shovel Full s. Even Vets use the human remains. Burners. No joke. So grand ma is mixed with. Spot the cat. I promise this is true

I remember watching this video when I was younger. I’m now 15. When my mum said I’m being cremated when I die I was like noooo because the thought of my body being out on fire scared me real bad but watching videos like this is a comfort.

Scotland, Ireland, Wales and England all have the same styles of coffin (anthropoidal shape, though ‘caskets’, straight sided and ‘st Albans’ shaped coffins are also broadly available). Traditionally Scottish coffins were adorned with silk lowering cords and tassels. This is adornment usually omitted when the committal is cremation.

An excellent video. I worked as a crematorium technician and I can confirm the accuracy of this piece. Obviously, cremation practice may vary in different countries, but this is a superb explanation of cremation in the UK today.

I have left detailed instructions in my will where I am to be buried. Going to spend eternity in a beautiful English country churchyard in the Lincolnshire wolds. The thought of being incinerated at some grim municipal crematorium where they roll the dearly departed off an assembly line is horrific. I remember my fathers committal service. We had to wait for the preceding one to finish. Horrible. No dignity. That is why I'm totally opposed to cremation. Also I'm a trained gardener the thought of decomposing into the earth of the wolds to give life to nature is much better than polluting the atmosphere going up in smoke.

What happens to the metal handles etc of the coffin?
@cremationpete
@cremationpete 3 жыл бұрын
Coffins destined for cremation are not fitted with metal furnishings. Instead they may be wood, wool or more commonly rigid polystyrene that has been electroplated brass or chrome. Yorkrem handles for example.

My son's "Ashes" was never ashes. The remains looked like small gravel, and weighed more than 7 pounds. I've asked questions but each person said it was normal. It's been 10 years and still just looks like gravel. So this means, I'll never know for sure if it's my son's remains or just a container of gravel.?? ( no closer)
@cremationpete

Debbie Rabe cremated remains are calcined bone fragments. They resemble greyish white gravel. I struggle to imagine what else cremated remains should look like and why you can’t accept they are cremated remains. Where is the logic in thinking otherwise?

Where's the Ashes?
@ifn_media
@ifn_media 4 жыл бұрын
You are absolutely correct and are right to ask, this is a classic question. They are not ashes, they are generally known as cremains. These are the cremated remains that have been 'processed' post cremation. The remains after cremation are usually large bone fragments, these are raked out into a vessel called a Cremulator and mechanically reduced, there are many crematoriums who are open about the whole process and in particular, the post cremation process. Hopefully the following article, 'Behind the curtain', will answer your question: www.sevenhillsnacton.co.uk/assets/images/6_BEHINDTHECURTAIN.pdf. I would advise that the site does show graphic images but absolutely and honestly will give you the answer you seek. Perhaps if you are nervous you might like to have a trusted person check this information for you, but be assured, there are strict measures to ensure compliance in verifying that the remains are correctly identified.

Oh, but I don't think they burn the coffin with the person in America. That was in Brittan. So sad they have to cremate them along with the ashes of wood.
@cremationpete
@cremationpete 5 жыл бұрын
The heat is so intense that no wood ashes remain as they oxidise. In the U.K. coffins are lower priced than say caskets in the USA. Prices start from as little as £125. For the deceased person to be conveyed to the crematorium and a dignified ceremony to be held at the crematorium as well as safe and fast charging of the cremator, the remains must be in a safe, impervious, combustible container i.e. a coffin of wood or wood product- or even wool. Some crematoria allow the use of a ‘board’ on which the deceased person is placed upon and swathed in a fabric. If you watched the video in full you would see that all that remains following the Cremation is 5-7lb of calcined bone. The rest is oxidised/vaporised. There are exceptions, cardboard coffins for example leave a lot of ‘paper char’ but still, this makes for a very small proportion of the cremated remains.

5/1/19....In the USA we usually wait & have the service AFTER the cremation---when the cremains have been collected & boxed up or put in a nice urn.
@foxfur8327
@foxfur8327 5 жыл бұрын
When would a 24 he wait be required, and is there any chance that an unknown autopsy may take place during that time or body parts removed?
@cremationpete
@cremationpete 5 жыл бұрын
Ksloozy Doo there isn’t any 24 hour wait as such, this is just the time frame in which the coffin has to be placed into the cremator following the funeral. Usually the coffin is placed into the cremator within moments of the mourners vacating the ceremony area but in cases were its an early morning funeral the cremator(s) may not be up to temperature or there may be a backlog due to cremator breakdown, slow cremations etc. It is the law in the U.K. that the coffin is placed in the cremator exactly how it is received upon the catafalque. If a post mortem examination is required it is done before the deceased person is released into the care of the funeral director/family. Usually embalming and other presentation work is carried out upon the deceased before they are ready for viewing in the funeral home.

This video is very respectful in presentation. Thank you very much. Information is important for the family and friends of the love one who died. Sometimes the family is not sure if the right decision was made for a cremation for several reasons. You helped me understand and accept the decision of cremation my dear beloved mom made for herself. I love you mom and miss you so much. Thank you again for the making of the video. Thank you .
