Just purchased my Model 12 in 2024, your videos are the most helpful, only thing i dont like about it is i cant seems to assign a track i want it Rec on , i have to unplug the mic and plug into the channel i want to rec on , but on my older tascam dp-008ex i could just assign any track i want to rec to, so its disappointing that this newer Model cant seems to do that

Does your model 12 get warm? My room temp is 23c and it randomly gets to 35c. The meter screen seems to cause it to happen immediately but it will also happen on the transport screen.

My left channel on the Notepad is much quieter than the right channel, I can't tell if it's a routing issue or hardware.

Great video. Though, there is also a Method 4 to record your effects in Stereo. You can start setting the mixer like you do in Method 3; but instead of routing the Effects to Aux 1 Output (mono), you can route the effects to the Stereo Sub-Group. Make sure you dis-engage “main” so the subgroup does not got to the Main Output. Now, patch a pair of cables out of the Stereo Sub Group 1-&-2 to the inputs of (2) open tracks.

Hi! When in cubase (13) DAW control mode, is there a way to monitor live input on Tascam 12 I can eventually monitor input signal from Cubase, but some latency may appear ... and drummers hate that :). Thanx!

Hey, did you delete your most recent video on the Tascam Model 12 Compressor behavior? I thought it was very good. Can’t find it anymore.

I have the model 12 and would like to separate my slide guitar into two separate tracks. One track would be what I call the "raw guide track" which would be in my left earphones to monitor the note I am playing before it is channeled into the main mix through both channels. This way I know the note before it is being heard in the main mix using my volume pedal for the processed sound which everyone else will hear. Since the lap steel can be touchy because of bending pitch, I would like to hear the note first in my left ear with headphones going coming out of the Model 12. I Hopefully that makes sense, and you could guide me on how to accomplish this method. Thank you in advance for any help you could give!

I have watched multiple of your videos as you’ve advised. However, I still can’t seem to find any information on how to simply record the 8 individual channels to DAW with the mix I physically did on the mixer. Also, not sure if I understand correctly, but it sounds like the FX on each channel will not be picked up by DAW as well? Tracks 1-8? I am using the 8 outputs from the MPC into the 8 inputs of this mixer by the way. I just want to pan and EQ on each channel and have the DAW record what I did exactly on the mixer. Channels 1-8 or 9/10
