One of my favorite Ghibli movies. I loved Brad Garrett in this as the Mama Aiuto gang leader lol

It's pretty ironic that this is primarily an American cast, with the one exception being the actor who is *voicing* an American.

I saw this with my father...in theater, more of a homage of seeing it in theater with father.

I'm very happy that this was an amazing closure for the film "Moonwalker" and that Michael wanted to have The Ladysmith Black Mambazo on that project. Michael was actually been flabbergasted by their collaboration with Paul Simon on his successful album "Graceland" that won a Grammy Award. Unfortunately Michael didn't won no Grammy Awards for his "Bad" what was very painful. He was very happy for his best friend Paul, that became very huge with that album with the African influrences and elements at that time. This powerful ending give me much strength. And uplift my spirit. It was very spirtual and smooth to play late at nights. And also makes me want to dance 😂❤ They were killing it in their tuxedos like they were an African "maffia mob" it really inspire me alot to wore these suits 😢❤ Hopefully there are pictures of them together during that collaboration.

So nice to watch this again after all these years, it brought tears to my eyes it’s so beautiful. I loved reading all the comments of everyone else reminiscing their childhoods too. This was so magical back then ✨

I want to see this movie in theaters.

Learning about wonderful stuff like this makes me wonder what living life with one universal language would be like. In the end it would definitely be a net positive but I do wonder what we'd lose.

The whole "Set in Italy, originally spoken in Japanese, now in English, with singing in French." Isn't really that crazy. During the first half of the 20th century, there were so many people running from wars left and right, it caused a lot of mixing of languages and juggling of currencies. So going to a resteraunt in the middle of the ocean in Italy and hearing French singing isn't that far fetched. Wouldn't be surprised if a fair number of people there we're also Russian, Polish, Greek, German or Yugoslavian.

The last scene, with those two guys taking a Microchip, hiding it from the Authorities...and then, years later, that with that same Microchip being found in the possession of one Dr. Myles Bennett Dyson... Intriguing. That's where he got the Microchip from! All of the happenings from the original Terminator Movie, which showed the Terminator meeting it's demise... only for this scene to be left out... Well, now we know how that the Terminator Saga continued. Will there be yet another Terminator Movie of some sort? Inquiry minds wanna know!

Whenever you watch a movie from the 80s, you know it's outstanding.

I was a teenager when this movie was made this song touched my spirit then and I 'm 48 now and it still stirs something deep within me today in the year 2022 damn talk about timeless

I like how Michael Keaton wears sunglasses while dubbing his voice. Probably helps to get into character.
