I grew up in SF Chinatown and I know most of the restaurant you mentioned. Just to let you know the Golden Gate Bakery is overrated is not worth the wait is deceiving to tourists! Please go others bakery, there's one in Jackson/Stockton street pretty good to me and less waiting and better price!

It's nice but 100% not worth it . I was living in a big condo in texas in a nice area 2bedroom 2 bath big 2 car garage 1500 a month . It was like 1350 square feet

But I will say, very few places are like New York. They have anything and everything you can think of. For any type of human. I wouldn't ever live there permanently, but I always hope I can stay there again.

Nice video but your information about cannabis legality in Colombia is not completely true. It is not legal to smoke cannabis in public and in theory you could have a problem with the police. The 20 grams possession is only legal when kept in your home. A lot of peeps do not realise this and can get in small trouble with the police. Pay a bribe

Nice to hear it from you, as for myself, I´m spending about USD1,500 per month total, of which USD500 is rent (60 sq meter 1 BR appartment in San Borja district, nice neighborhood), maybe up to USD200 on gasoline (I do own a car), another USD200 dining out and nightlife - without going out too much, and the rest is on food and other miscellaneous stuff. I´m not considering any travelling, just my average daily in town living expenses.

Hey! I know this video is old and you may not be living there anymore but, could you share your experience with racism in Lima? It may sound crazy in a country where almost 90% of the population is considered with an indigenous background but racism is a huge deal (I lived there for 36 years).
