“I will congratulate developers that do what I think is smart” May I ask what makes you more credible than various experienced devs? Why do YOU get to deem what is and isn’t smart? Simply saying “I disagree with bring dead characters back but I’m happy for people that are excited” would be the adult way to go. But what do I know I’m just a guy 🤷🏽‍♂️

I can relate SO MUCH to this, this is exactly my feelings about him returning and you just put my thoughts into words. I love Heihachi so much as im a mishima player, however I HATE fake deaths even more than I love Heihachi, I love when there is change and im tired of him returning after every supposed "death"

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks bringing Heihachi back in Tekken 8 was dumb and unnecessary. Now nothing matters, the story doesn't matter at all. Tekken 7 doesn't matter at all. Kazuya would be so pissed

Tekken is character driven and every player has their main, to exclude characters is to piss off everyone who uses them as their main, it makes no sense to do so, imagine all the Jin main's tomorrow if they killed off Jin and Kazuya's characters as well, half the fanbase would abandon Tekken at that point, or stick to playing the older games which made those characters available. It's a severe downgrade to remove beloved characters especially when you do it for no good reason

In total agreement. I was more sad at Heihachi being gone from the game. I never bought Tekken 8 and the main reason was that Heihachi wasn't there anymore. I probably will buy it soon now just because I enjoy the character so much. Honestly I would've been fine if he was still canonically dead but they still added him. I can understand the authors frustration - like bro has died so many times and they couldn't keep it for a single game after such a good finale.

The worst thing about heihachi's return is how they proved that the story is Tekken is completely irrelevant. I mean what's the point? They're no stakes. You thought Jun is dead? Nooo, she's been "missing". You though Kazuya died? Yeah, but they cloned him or something. You thought Hei died in the volcano? Yeah but also no. It's the most lazy kind of writing. Like in some extremely cheap anime.

It's hard to both satisfy the story followers and make veterans happy. I have a friend who plays Hei exclusively, and he's having a big character crisis in TK8, so he was ecstatic when Hei was announced. So I think its a win for some?

I knew they were gonna bring him back, but not this soon which seems like a desperate corporate push/last minute option to boost sales. I honestly thought he would appear in a later season of T8 or T9... Either way I'm happy for the Heihachi mains especially my homie who was playing Reina initially then switch to DJ.

Tekken's writing has gone to shii since Tekken 6. I love Heihachi, but no one should be happy about this. This also made Reina's whole existence pointless 😭

Also I get why you're upset, but at the end of the day...if they permanently killed Heihachi, a lot of people would've been mad as he is practically the face of Tekken. I'll admit the way they did set up his death and revival is a bit silly.

Luke was stated to be what sf6 was gonna feel like n was hinted at being the face of sf6 lidia was not nor does she has direct ties to the mashimas n what they got going on behind the scenes of the main world war going on in T7 and every character on base roster are everyone involved in the main story in some way that they could fit under the budget they had it’s really not that weird so they opted to keep most the base roster legacy n 3 slots were new ppl there’s like a 100+ tekken characters to chose from dlc u can take more of a gamble on than base roster

I don't mind Lidia coming back as DLC,since the character was still popular when she came out and earned a lot of attention. Sure, she should've been on the main roster, but imagine she took Shaheen 's place ... people would've been in a MASSIVE uproar. I will admit that I miss her ashen blonde hair that made her look like Ciri from Witcher 3. At the end of the day, people WILL play her and the numbers will show it.

this is what I said too... Everybody was so hyped about Lidia and I thought myself, "Am I really only one that is annoyed?" Don't get me wrong, I like Lidia but people have to buy her as a DLC again. That's kinda f*cked up...

The worst Tekken ever? Yessir. T8 is trash no so many levels. All the initial reviews where hyped and sponsored but the game sucks big time. Pathetic new characters, trash mechanics, flashy bullshit that changed a technical game in a noob fest. Even Tekken 7, which was at best plausible, is better. Bring us back T3/T5/T6 feel. Dammit, even T4 with all its flaws and bugs is much better.

It is mostly an issue in higher ranks, starting at Tenryu. It only gets worse from there. Lower ranks are pretty chill, I have never faced a single plugger until Tenryu.

The game is not fine, they have blocked stuff that was previously available behind a paywall. 70€ for a game and then be treated like a free to play player is bullshit. I paid for an entire fucking game with an entire-fucking-game pricetag, give me the entire fucking game. People like you that excuse this scamlike behavior and allow companies to keep pushing the limit of what is acceptable and what is not are the problem.

Yeah, I'm fine with the game. They're working on the balance and it's about where you'd expect for a game that didn't have an arcade release. As for "pluggers" I've encountered maybe half a dozen since I got the game almost 2 months ago. IDK where people are finding so many that they're losing their minds over them. One thing I have to criticize though is that battle pass. I bought it, but some of the things are just embarrassing. "Ball" and "checkered ball"? Really? If I hadn't gotten all my tekken coins back in the rewards I would've regretted it a lot more.

Truth being told, Tekken 7 wasn't that great, but Tekken 8 is worse, and im glad people are waking up to the lack of depth in Tekken 8. The heat system will limit the life span because everything revolves around this gimmick.
