Hi I am a bit stuck on how to move the floor boards so that they are fully aligned with the base please? It all keeps shifting together. Am only just getting the hang of the various views.

I downloaded the files for the reference image, but none of the Pngs show up when I click on "Import Image". I can see them all when I go to my files, but none of them are there when I try to import them into Maya. What do I do?

Did you unzip the files?
@sebastiancortez7815 күн бұрын
@@GameDevAcademy I did, and it still didn't work. However, someone from your discord showed me how to properly import the downloaded Pngs into Maya, so it's all good.

This is such a good intro. Having something tangible at the end is encouraging. You worked out the lesson so people are constantly creating while learning, instead of having to digest a ton upfront. So good!

@RMC_13 күн бұрын
Not sure if I did something wrong, but the noise and micro-variation is symmetrical and repeats the same as the texture, for every tile the noise looks the same. So basically I got noise repetition now too.. I made the static mesh from several cubes put together, might that be the issue?

Still works as of today. You can literally use any picture for the "official documents" me personally? I used a picture of spongebob with will smiths face photoshopped onto it and it worked perfectly

Not sure if this is only now in 5.4, but in the directional light, there is a setting to enable 'raytraced shadows' and it fixed it on my model, which was happening on smaller objects in a closeup that were having annoying light bleed issues even though the geometry was clean. Thanks!
