It's weird watching knowing that this was my childhood having grown up around the town getting lunch at Foote's, going to ChesterFest, and hanging out with friends. Glad there is some footage of the town out there for the future.

I love playing games with them. They once called claiming I had warranty on my Dodge Charger I asked what year they said 2020. I just let them go and I played the game then told them it had about 350000 miles. I don't even have a dodge charger nor did they have the address correct but lo and behold I received a letter through the mail for some reason. Another one was from Aetna asking if I received my medicare card. I played along, The woman kept saying she was from Aetna then I asked if I got Aetna on the phone would she talk to them also then she hung up. They called me that day as soon as I'd hang up they'd call again I know 15 times in a row. That was before she hung up even. Waste their time because you may be saving another scam from happening.

Chester is such a great little town. My grandpa and grandma lived 6 miles east, just on the Kansas side of State Line Road. The school served Chester, Hubble, and Byron before it closed, and is now an art center. There used to be a fire escape slide on the north end of the building that we'd get yelled at for climbing up and sliding back down. The building at 7:47 used to be the grocery store. Across the street the Chester Herald had its office. I seem to remember them reporting that the Highway Patrol nailed one of my cousins for speeding on Hwy. 8 back in about 1976. Big news back then. Just a bit farther north, on the west side of Thayer st. is the Methodist church. It's still very active and hasn't really changed from the 70s. I can still smell the giant coffe urn from adult Sunday School in the basement. I can also remember sweating like a marathon runner during Sunday service. I believe it was built around 1919 and was an oven in the summer. Gramdma would take us kids into town for a cheeseburger at Foote's, (the best ever) and when we had enough people, we got to sit in the big dining room on the south end of the building. I also remember being sure grandpa would get us killled pulling off of 8 and onto 81 doing 17 MPH. I like to think he was personally responsible for them moving 81. Thanks for a great video, and turning back the clock for me to about 1975.

I realize this video is 4 years old, however I have one that will make you laugh as it is right in line with this video. I bought a 23 Jailbreak, and I have the dealer change the oil ever 1500 miles, on the last change (Number 4), the dealer told me the manufacturer can cause issues with my warranty if the engine fails BECAUSE I AM CHANGING THE OIL TOO OFTEN! Its NOT about changing the oil, ITS ALL ABOUT VOIDING THE WARRANTY FOR ANYTHING THEY CHOOSE!

I lived in Mankato when I was about 10 in 1977. I went to 4th, 5th, and 6th grades there. I loved this town. Being a "Little House on the Prairie" enthusiast, I would spend hours in the museum looking at artifacts. I didn't see it in the video. (I may not remember what the approach looks like, but remember the inside vividly!) Thank you for sharing. I was tickled to death to hear the sound of the bricks on your tires and to see the limestone sidewalks. I saw "Star Wars" at the Ute...and "The Wilderness Family". I remember a threshing bee demonstration at the park. I thought that was so cool. I also spent hours at the local swimming pool. A friend and I would grab kernels of wheat as we walked to the pool to chew on calling it "wheat gum". Lol...I remember seeing crop dusters...probably not smart. 🤷🏻‍♀️ ...my dad worked for the REA. He was a lineman. My friend's family owned the Buffalo Roam. What great memories. Thank you again for sharing.

@remingtonoaks

Your experiment is flawed! You have wax or sealant on your paint! You need to get rid of that before your vinegar/water can reach the hard water spots... And you probably only removed the wax or paint sealant with the 100% vinegar but that's all you did, you didn't touch the hard water spots.... First spray it down with a wax stripper like 90% rubbing alcohol to get rid of the wax! Paint sealer, and then use vinegar to remove your water spots

THANK YOU for this video. Just like yours, my power washer came on for a few moments and then cut off. I unsuccessfully tried everything I knew to try. I was about to get dressed and go to the store to buy a new one and then I decided to try one more thing… KZfaq. That’s when I came across your video. Fast forward, I didn’t have to purchase a new one. Your video help me fix my problem and my power washer works like a charm! Thanks again!
