I usually carry an umbrella for your "alternative" use of this "stick" here in the Philippines but have never had to use it as most Filipinos are friendly and helpful. You might consider this in your travels to SE Asia.

That's amazing. I wonder if it is allowed to be carried in hand-carry bags on the plane.

The birds actually sing. In Australia the birds yell. The black crows are absolutely the worst. Evil spirit birds.

I use the ULANZI MT-34 which is 1/4 the price and even more compact & lightweight, albeit at a lesser max height. I only use my iPhone to take trave photos these days, though, no professional jobs. Since this is plastic, I'm allowed to carry it on board as part of my one-bagging kit.

Before I even start watching the video - I have to share that I travelled across Japan for almost 3 weeks with only Ulanzi MT-79 and it was absolutely AMAZING. I used it as a tripod, selfie stick, extended it to record video from height in crowds... served me so great! I've used it for iPhone 14 pro in Smallrig cage, which was always easy to attach and remove. Would definitely recommend this product to everyone who is looking for something light to travel with!

if you had a traditional 3 legged tripod, you could extend two of the legs down to the ground between the window & the table, & then have their third leg with a short extension onto the table. It would take up even less space on your table than your small red tripod, with your setup I think.

Narcotics, especially marijuana epidemic. As a foreigner if you do not keep low profile you may be subject information collection by various groups. That information later may get to anyone, from criminals to Russia or china. It is still eastern Europe and this is part of global hybrid war because Poland is close to Russia. Just keep low profile, do not flash money, etc. Pros include cheaper housing than in some western European countries, cheaper taxi, decent public transportation, some western companies are moving their operations or manufacturing to Poland to save on costs. But beware that salaries are also lower than in western Europe.

The review was good. One caveat, however: This design isn't good for sloped or uneven ground because it can become overbalanced very easily. Standard tripods have adjustable legs and this keeps the centre of gravity over the centre of the tripod. This design is great for your purposes, or a very light camera in a flat, urban environment.

I guess it's not really a tripod because the legs are connected and you can't use it easily on uneven ground, so I would definitely consider this more of a lightstand than tripod per se.

I have a shorter version. I also bought this and pulled it apart shortly. I had to return it. I don't have the problem with the shorter one. Also, it is easier to carry around collapsed. For using as a tripod, watch out it will tip over.

Hello Eduard, I have read through many of the comments here and, you have a whole bunch of possible friends just from posting this video who are living in Poland right now. Some are Poles. A few are from Australia, like yourself. Some are English. Answer them, get on the train and meet up with them... and make friends. Poland is not that big, so you can be on the other side of the country in 4-5 hours. Good luck.

Hello Eduard, thank you for this video. I am Polish, but have lived most of my life in the USA. Still I miss my homeland and am thinking of moving back. I found your video quite helpful. You said that you can't understand some Polish people. I was wondering, with all of the technology that we have now, isn't there a program that would instantly translate Polish speech into English? As for having friends, I think that you need to do what you would do in any new place: go to church, take a class of sorts, join a club, or play sports in a group. You have to go out there. It takes time anywhere, even if you speak the same language. Be optimistic and patient and you will make friends.

I was curious about the weight of a camera you could use on this without it collapsing or falling over, i also like the comment about deterring potential aggressor’s, it certainly is not a daft remark, when travelling if you look like a victim your likely to become one.

DUDE! I've been looking for a tripod like that for years! Long time Digital Nomad here... Been living the DN lifestyle since 2018 so congrats on being a new Nomad! I've been traveling the world with a huge Manfrotto tripod but 99% of the time, the product you just reviewed would have met my needs and I'm sure it's easier to pack and lighter! (2 big pluses for digital nomads!) Thanks for making this video... I'm glad KZfaq recommended it to me. I too have the DJI Pocket 3 and am planning on using it with the tripod as well.

I have a few tripods like this, including this one... the main downside is that it's not nearly as stable as a standard tripod. The footprint is way too small. Just a little wind and it's going over. Trust me. So I came up with a monopod and extending tripod leg solution that has worked out better. BTW I was using this Ulanzi tripod with the DJI Pocket 3, not exactly a heavy camera.

I have both the mt-79 is nice for something like a action cam and if you put a bag on the bottom stable to maybe 1.5meters of the 2meters but with a base of 30cm vs 100cm of the peakdesign it should not even be compared how stable things are. A nice $29 product but anyone who would use it as a replacement tripod for a real cameras is asking for trouble. Now its a nice solution for some edge cases, table top, small actioncams on max 1.5meter height. small lights and indeed kind of a monopod/selfie stick it can find its place next to your real travel tripod.
