Is your life less important that a footage of a mimic octopus? Don't solo dive way too many things can go wrong bad fills to regulator failure and entanglements
@DecoLounge-scuba2 күн бұрын
About the mimic. I'm not answering that lol. Anyways, many many people dive alone. So if that's the case it is a very good idea to get more training for that specifically. Plus, as I said it also makes you a much better dive buddy. I'm biased maybe, because I have a training facility, but I think you can never have too much education.

non turret regulator for sidemount over turret swivel?
@DecoLounge-scuba7 күн бұрын
Turret
@dannykalin6 күн бұрын
5:26 you are saying that for your sidemount you prefer mk17, because it has no turret swivel, it confused me a bit.

I run the XStream regulator. I have run Poseidon regulators since 1977. The XStream is a cold water, warm water, DEEP water (rated to 200 meters) regulator. The purge is strong, but something you get use to. As for servicing, I have a place in Florida I send mine to. As for price? It is the only regulator you will ever need. So no buying a separate regulator for cold water or deep, or tri-mix. This regulator does it all. Not to mention its ease of breathing… nothing I have ever tried comes close.

As a cave diver, I longer fins aren't actually that appealing. So definitely a pass for me. I am currently on RK3 HDs and very happy with them.
@riderdiver110 күн бұрын
Im using Apeks rk3 fins at the moment but may get Jet Fins for the negative buoyancy. Rk3s are nice but my feet are a little floaty, and i cant shift weight any lower

Jetfins are great. They are efficient in speed, compact, and good for cave / wreck diving Scubapro did not make the original Jetfin. In fact, it was Beuchat.

Poseidon lacks service technicians in America's. On the other hand, OCEANIC offers pretty much the same regulator but has more technicians due to its brand popularity in the America's.

Tabata (TUSA) is really good in mask innovation and production. They have a big selection of high-quality material mask. They are good looking and have amazing seal and field of vision. My dive shop has many of their mask and I've never got complaints about them, in the contrary, I got positive feedback. You should try their options. Good Video, keep it up!

I’ve got both the S-Tek and Jet fins. S-Tek are my go to travel fins because of the ability to break them down, but they are solid fins in general. There is a post on SB that discusses some of the mods that some of us have done for these fins that I would really recommend. Mainly mod-ing the weight install and adding skegs.

I'll stick with my cressi frogs
@BurhanMuntasser13 күн бұрын
I got them few weeks ago. They are the best fins I have ever used in 50+ years of diving, bar none. I put all other fins I own, and I own many of them, away. (I still have the Scubapro jet fins as backup). Scubapro now has the best fins available in the market; Go Sport, Go Sport Gorilla, Supernova and these S-Tek fins.

I dive cold water in a dry suit, head mobility is limited when trying to keep my neck seal from seeping. I prefer something like the mares or cressi with the side view windows. I feel masks are much a personal preference. All can be good for some, some can be good for all.

I have a friend that swears by these regs too. Appreciate the insight on their unique features. P.S. when you attached it to the tank I couldn’t help but notice that the hoses were on the left instead of the typical right-hand side. Is that for a specialist setup or is the first stage on upside down?

The XDeep can hold 8 or 16kg in the central weight pouch. That should be more than enough even for a drysuit and thick undergarment.

It's not enough for me
@tobiashartung8568 күн бұрын
@@DecoLounge-scuba 16kg, i.e. 35 pounds, of weight isn't enough for you in the tropics? If I were your instructor, I'd take you in for a weight check immediately if you told me that. By my rough buoyancy calculation, even giving you a 5mm neoprene suit, that would require you to have a body weight of more than 275kg, i.e. 600lbs.
@DecoLounge-scuba8 күн бұрын
@@tobiashartung856 well I'm 300lbs and use 16kg plus backplate, and its perfect. So your math is flawed.

Bolt snap opposite side of hand wheel on the right
@comebackdk14 күн бұрын
here is 5 thing you should look into with your setup :) 1. When setting up to tank use one right and one left tank not to right (for demo) 2. your tank band should be with buckle out not in(more comfortable) 3. you also need a bottleneck string or clips (to secure tank when you inter and exit the water) 4. Neck Regulator Bungee Necklace on short hose 5. A bolt snap on long hose but as with side-mount what works for you is correct :) there is no right and wrong
