Yes i will be repainting it as the doors have been replaced and are not body colour, but i'm fairly certain i'll stick with the original colour

I used the yellow poly bushes so easy to install by hand but don't look original and I found eventually that it was easier to fit the rear lower rods and then lift chassis up to fit springs then fit shocks (your chassis is looking great )can I ask are your springs heavy duty as mine are sagging abit

They’re from Twisted Automotive and are 1” lower than standard, they have second hand ones available if you call them, and they do them with shocks for a £100 a corner

Hi, a very nice job, can I ask where you bought the front crossmember and dumb irons from as I also have a 200 tdi that needs the front end sorted, it has already had a rear c/member a few years back, can I ask where you are based?.

Those brake discs look just the job. When I hit the link it was for 94 onwards? Mines is a 1990 200tdi - I take it they just fit? Ta!

@@paulhartshorne9085 well I was looking at what you did with the chassis because I have another rangerover classic and the chassis is full of holes /probably no worse than yours and you fixed yours so maybe I'll have a go at repairing it /have to be brave I guess 🫣

Where the holes were that you welded up, letting in a plate would have been much better in my opinion. All that heat in those horizontal beads will have weakened the metal.The Heat Affected Zone (HAZ) will eventually crack because the stresses built up will eventually be too much.

invest in ACF50 ,,, do the inside of the chassis and you will stand a chance of keeping it decent , waxol is not the way to go.

@@paulhartshorne9085 Ive a friend used it on his Aston ,,, Im still an ACF fan , I do a lot of chassis repairs on land rover and give a three year warranty on my work , thats mostly due to the ACF ... thats all Ill say .

I disagree Dene , if you have the ability to repair it then you should. A new chassis is £3300 plus shipping this this will have cost me £800 for everything including treatment and blasting, just throwing it away doesn’t sit well with me to be honest.
