Off topic but I was wondering if you could do a tutorial on fine tuning and balancing bushings. I can't get over that I can do all the technical electronic stuff with vesc, shape decks and seal enclosures and whatever else that seemingly would be more difficult to get right meanwhile what seems to be most simple...adjusting a little piece of urethane...drives me mad

First off, Great Video! 1000000/1000000 for honesty and quality video and review! Send this man every board! He is the best reviewer we have, not biased and honest. We need more human's like RB-E-Motion. ♥ + Entry Level board (I have had acoustic boards cost more than this, good job Meepo!) + Hubs are not bad and make sense for this imo also. (they can also feel more like a acoustic skateboard wheel as most skates have a semi hard wheel.) - The handle is still lame to me as you are allowed to mall grab as they say and should not be a issue. (haters going to hate, skaters going to skate.) + You should be able to switch the deck and or add foam griptape. (seems like you could upgrade this board over time with certain components.) - You should not have to get used to the settings/esc/power especially when software can fix these issues. (not acceptable.) - Range needs to be more, someone could end up quitting Esk8 due to purchasing this. (could make a rider think all boards act this way, not acceptable.) + hill hold, nice option and should always have ability to turn that off if needed and or wanted. (toggle on and off settings/features should be standard.) + should hold top speed no matter the hill. (not acceptable in 2024.) - range should be based on the worst case, like uphill and max throttle not flat perfect roads as those are rare to find. (not acceptable, and no company or people behind a company need to lie.) - customer service should be equal for all riders, even if that rider is not happy. Customer service should be trained to listen and understand the issues then help fix or create fixes for the common complaints. I would like to see a remote where we can design our own display. + color + upload logos within certain sizes, like 64x64 pixel etc allows users to draw custom numbers or even gauges. ideally this would be more than 64x64 but you get the point. (community could even submit there designs to allow others to use there neat custom icons etc if they choose, no stealing.)
@RBEMotion
@RBEMotion 8 күн бұрын
Thanks for your support and input! Lots of good input for the company as well - I think that for the range, my test route is a good split between flat and challenge with the single large up-down hill. It is important to note you could get better range than me, or much worse depending on conditions and rider weight.

How would you say the high speed stability on this budget board compares to a higher end AT boards with DKP trucks?
@RBEMotion
@RBEMotion 8 күн бұрын
Well, since this is RKP, it does tend to be a bit more stable than DKP in general, unless you've tuned it well with Riptide bushings. That being said, this board doesn't even get to "high-speed" so I can't really answer that haha
@michaelwagner6410
@michaelwagner6410 8 күн бұрын
@@RBEMotion personally I consider upper 20s high speed because I'm still an up and coming noob, 31 is the fastest I've ever gone and it was on my 3e with galaxys. the 3e with 105's does 31mph(remote not GPS reading)with my 190 pound body on it. Basically, I was wondering if the wider wheelbase, and perhaps better design would over compensate for it being DKP. I feot like possibly the 7" Paris trucks aren't the best for stability RKP wise

Hey man after watching ur video and looking at some DIY boards and some builds of the year on esk8 im really tempted to do a DIY similar to your Black mamba i was deciding between the atlas pro and onsra bc3 for a while and cant chose which is better and neither has everything i want, so what could i get for roughly $1600 in terms of DIY would i be able to build a board like yours?
@RBEMotion
@RBEMotion 8 күн бұрын
Thanks for watching! DIY is definitely very possible nowadays. I think you could build a pretty decent 12s4p board with P42a for that cost. Makerx ESC, flipsky motors, VX4 or puck, belt drive. Definitely possible!

I have said it before and will say it again, this man makes some of the best videos for Esk8. Cant wait for mine to arrive, and my foot to heal up. Wonder why they did not just create a charger that is more optimised rather than slow down the charge rates. No one wants to sit for hours just to ride again. Not throwing shade but is E-Mobility not trying to compete with gas or become better than gas?

I feel like they will be the perfect wheel for the Tynee Stinger I'm getting. Since it has a 33 mile range rating insane., and I only plan on riding no more than ,12 or 14 miles, the range impact shouldn't affect me at all. The extra damping will be handy for the stiff deck. I feel since the stinger has 2 x 3000 watt motors that it'll affect the range slightly less than other boards. The motors don't have to work at all to move you. I'm not sure if that's true or false. If you can think of any other rubber wheels ide like let me know. (Although I like how these are only 115r) So they look like regular wheels from a quick glance while your moving.
@RBEMotion
@RBEMotion 8 күн бұрын
The range affect doesn't have anything to do with how powerful the board is, it's about how efficiently it will run, so your range will still be affected significantly versus the standard urethane ones. I think they may look a little wonky on a stinger since its a shortboard, but they would be comfy. The cloudwheel rover 110s could be a great option for you too.

A motor just went out on my two week old wowgo 3e 200 miles. Waiting for wowgo to respond. Looking to upgrade to a board with longer range and more power anyway. Thinking about the new pioneer x5 dual 2500watt beast. 9.4 inch cnc 50 degree truck option, the ambient orange light is sweet, and i like how the deck is pure maple just like the 3e for a good but stable flex. Most boards this powerful dont flex. But after my experience with my 3e im very hesitant to buy another wowgo product. Wondering if ide enjoy a board with these new TKP trucks and rear mount motors more vs a boosted style board. Im kind of heavy at 190 and like stability so am trying to avoid DKP. The boneboard balrog X bamboo for 900 bucks seems like the best package for that option. Give me your two sense. !
@RBEMotion
@RBEMotion 26 күн бұрын
That's a shame - the new Wowgo does look pretty nice. I've requested a review unit for that one, but I have not received word on if I'll get one or not. Oh well - I currently have the Flex 2 Pro in my hands, and its also a great board. Exway has been pretty good in the recent times, probably higher quality than Wowgo, IMO. I'd wager the x5 might be similar power to the Flex 2 Pro or the Paragon. The RKP on the new Wowgo are definitely interesting, as is the enclosed belt system. The balrog is definitely an interesting product as well, but I've heard pretty average reports about b-one in general, so I can't really recommend buying their stuff, especially without testing it myself.
@michaelwagner6410
@michaelwagner6410 25 күн бұрын
@@RBEMotion wow the flex pro is an amazing deal for 800 bucks! CNC trucks too. Love that they are a wide 8 inches. Love everything about it. If I was getting that type of board I'd get that one. But I want my second board to be the Tynee Stinger! That carve motion looks like so so so much joy. The deck is big enough to be stable, it has the trucks off of the explorer LOL. I want to be able to ride into downtown, and be able to mess around all day long getting my carve on. That turn radius would be good for exploring hidden urban areas. There's all skate and e skate group rides in my city and I feel the stinger would be perfect for that also because of its massive range. I'm 190 pounds with no gear and there's a lot of hills and since those 3000W motors are barely working the motor stays cool even slamming it up steep hills and after having a motor go out my 3e(a board that gets EVERY bit of the 650W from each motor) I want motors that don't have to work as hard. I also want to practice kicktail stuff and be able to do it. I went from barely able to control the board to Carve beast in 2 weeks 🤣. Probably putting discovery FEs on it I would think I wouldn't have grip trouble with them. None the less I'm so happy and thankful I discovered this hobby because I fking love it.

Late to the party but for whoever might be interested in these trucks here are some more bullet points. I have 2000 km on them thus far and they are very reliable for the most part. Axle retainment was a problem for me 3 of the 4 backed up, some of them multiple times. Had enough backlash to bend one of them. I ride only on urethane and even with 105 mad wheels the ground clearance is an issue between the kingpin and the road and they are mostly unusable with anything under 100mm. Despite these problems, I love these trucks. Fiy 2X93a riptide krank barrel out back and 90a riptide krank barrel roadside with 93a riptide krank barrel boardside with front cup reversed for a 160 lbs rider. The stock bushings are awful. ☺
@RBEMotion
@RBEMotion 26 күн бұрын
Thanks for the feedback! I may try out that bushing combo. Haven't gotten the chance yet. Tried some 87a but they were too soft and got wobbly fast. After taking the stock axles out I was also concerned about their retainment but since I put in the new ones with retaining compound they haven't budged haha

Nice and detailed review. Just to add some info : I just got a set of the Mads V2, and the Humming/whistling noise they make is pretty annoying to be honest. This noise happens at any speed, the fastest you go the more high pitched and audible it gets but it never disappear. It's not making noise like crazy, but it's still annoying to me. It's certainly due to the holes inside of them. I don't get any bad vibration so far though, just noise. I'm used to BOA wheels for street setup and they don't make any noise riding, grip quite well and don't chunk. In term of feel I slightly prefer the Mads over the BOAs, but that constant noise is killing the quiet rides that I like especially on nice roads. I've got also TB110s 74a and I've never liked them much despite all the good things I read about them. They really don't grip well at all compared to the BOAs or Mads, and I feel they bounce too much when in contact with rough roads. You should review the BOA wheels Ive got the old generation 83a, so I don't know how they compare to the new formula 76a or 74a
@RBEMotion
@RBEMotion 22 күн бұрын
Thank you! It's interesting that the sound bothers you so much, honestly, on most of the boards, even at 30mph, I can barely even hear the sound over the belt or gear drives. I personally do not like Boa's at all. They're far too hard for my taste. You may really like the new Cloudwheel FE's, they have great comfort, but are completely silent. I have ridden the 100mm Boas in 76a, they feel pretty dang hard.
@Jason_Music
@Jason_Music 21 күн бұрын
@@RBEMotion You're welcome. Further testing the MADS, the lack of free roll and (thus range killing) is the worst of all. Same exact run outside got me from 100% battery, to respectively 48% with the Mads, and I got 60% left on the BOAs (I swapped the wheels without touching the belt tension at all) . Same with my free rolling test : I'm cruising in an undergound parking with perfect surface at 10km/h and let go of the gas and check how far the board will go before stopping. The BOAs allowed me to roll more than 20m more than the Mads, which is a huge difference. So especially if you like to carve, this lack of free roll and range killing is quite bad on the MADs. The BOAs I used were the 83a from 2018. I'm getting the new 76a BOAs Yellow soon, so I'll see how good they are.

Good question - because they aren't finalized. They'll be finalized in their own full reviews. I know the DadBod one has taken forever, but to be honest, they just haven't been on my board, and I bought them myself so I have no obligation to the company to finish it in a time frame, so they took the back burner. The Galaxys are for sure more durable that's the one upside besides rolling resistance. The tread stays because people are claiming the tread pattern and depth change isn't noticeable by eye after 500 miles. It'll take you 1500+ miles to even notice a change in the treads I'm willing to bet.

I'm stuck between switching from my Galaxy pros(which I was disappointed with impact absorption) to either the v2's or the 120mm FE. everyone said the mad wheelz 105 was as good with that as the discoverys or close to so I expected the Galaxys to be like the Madz. While they are nice and grippy and repel debris we'll and ride on gravel we'll, they don't handle bumps well. The grip from the FEs is plenty for me so I'm probably going to go with the 120 FEs. A motor just went out on my 2 week old 200 mile wowgo 3e. So. That sucks. Have to wait for support. These treads on the Galaxys are awesome for debris like pebbles and other stuff that size. It's better for that than it is water because like you said no one rides in water anyway. Everyone's always running over debris though. Even if your streets are nice there is the occasional pebble.
