this was fantastic, i loved all the different examples, as well as the areas you highlighted your own mistakes (and why) i love seeing a "this is a mistake, here's an example of how you should play it out" from your review videos (with the JumpInReplay plugin), a suggestion would be to have that here as well! thanks for sharing your knowledge with us, just hit GC2 myself

Hey RocketInsight! First off, tyvm for the very high quality coaching you're providing us with! 2nd, I feel like there's a situation where lot of coaches would not agree with you. I used to do as you suggest all the time, now I m often thorn between 2 options. The sequence which starts at 4:45. Many coaches would say its ok to go for mid boost but that you should imperatively rotate toward backpost afterward whilst checking if you can demo the p2 on the way as rushing corner could throw your mate off, or if opponent don't quit the full control of the ball a single moment, you could end up bumping your mate as the opponent manages to dribble your mate and many will say that the mate will feel like he need to dodge you and the opponent or hesitate to challenge and ruin the quality of his upcoming challenge because he got thrown off by you rotating with the opponent. So yea, I have a friend with whom we oscillate around 1400 mmr and I feel very confortable on doing that demo in the corner to give him free ball. But another mate of mine with whom I ll stay more around 1250 mmr (different account, this 2nd mate is quite weaker) will throw a tantrum if I do that, screaming at me my rotations are f'd up etc and always try to correct me on my rotations. Meanwhile, I ve watched more than 1500 hours of coaching/analysis of plays, reading theory on situation with reddit RLschool etc And I despise turning my brain off or being autopilot any moment of my life, I m addicted to critical thinking every single instant I'm breathing, he s more the opposite. So I know this 2nd weaker mate is a lot into projecting without realizing, he barely watched 10 hours of coaching, he mostly spam games and barely freeplay. (Sorry that was a bit of a tangent, I m kindda lost as to what to do with him, great friend irl but lack awareness a ton, is very agressive in his critical speach and he always wants to play with me, its super exhausting as he also whiff a lot as well as chase/slurp/cut mate on regular basis etc. . . But dare you not cut him once or you get burnt alive verbally) Anyhow, I know I shouldn't take my 2nd mate's opinion as rocket science or that I got to be wrong according to our different approach of progressing in this game and different level, but nonetheless, I ve heard many coaches advice against demo chasing in the corner because you may force your mate to dodge you as he wants to 50' and if the opponent with the ball manage the fifty that he should be going for with your mate, he'd aim for a ball going mid toward his mate which end up having an open. So this situation is a bit of a conundrum, could you give further detail as to what you think other coaches misses in this picture or if your recommended approach should be adjusted depending on several factors? (like is the opponent controlling glue'd to the ball with 100% control on it at most times in his attack corner, maybe avoid the demo chase . . .) Cheers and once again, I ve been watching every single piece of content you're pulling out as it's so enriching. Truly love your approach, how you condense your classes and your advices are most the time very pertinent, great unique perk as well with the jumpinreplay you're using. Cheers man, take care and stay hydrated and fresh if you're north hemisphere !

Hey! Appreciate the comment. In some situations, it would be better rotate out towards mid. This would be the case if you feel as though the player with the ball is going too fast and you'll never be able to catch up with him. In our case in the clip, he wasn't going too fast so I knew I could pick up speed quicker than he can which means I'll have a good chance to demo. In terms of bumping your own mate, yeah that can happen, but it's one of those situations where the pros outweigh the cons in my opinion. Hope that helps!

@@RocketInsight allright, I see the nuance with the speed, thanks for clearing that out! Would you say if you can catch up but the opponent is totally glued to the ball and able to flick over your mate or dribble him with a corner shot, it'd be better to rotate through mid as well ? Cheers <3

@@randomrandom. Usually if the opponent has complete control of the ball and you can somehow apply pressure as the defender rotating back, then you should do that. And your mate should recognise that you're rotating to apply pressure and should assume a shadow position until the mate rotating player either succeeds or not. If not, then you're in a shadow position to make a last ditch effort to make the save.
