36 weeks right now. I’ve been to the hospital about 3 times so far 😅 when I was 33-34 , I was about to get sent home but saw I was having contractions so they decided to check me and I was 4cm dilated. 36 now and still 4cm 🫣 I’ve had my first one at 28 weeks so being able to pass that and being close to my due date is completely new to me so for every little thing I want to go to the hospital. lol I know I’m not the only one

Wow ive had three babies and didnt know they were a percentile before birth.
@gianna729713 күн бұрын
Same mines in the 93%tile. But what exactly does that mean anyway?
@user-kw6rr2xb2m13 күн бұрын
that means that your baby is a lot on the "bigger" scale of babies. 50 percentile is average weight, height, head size of the babies. if you dont already know which one they were talking about being 93rd, i'd definitely ask them to be more specific so you can prepare for labor mentally the best you can (if you haven't already had them, if you have congratulations momma.). you're doing AMAZING 🤍!
@Ericaf1113 күн бұрын
Doctors don’t know for sure that’s just a guess, you got this. Don’t let them try to induce you! Light exercise and walking will help that baby slide right out of you! your body knows what to do!

congrats mama! boy or girl? I'm 28 weeks pregnant with my first and only baby girl, because this is my last. I just signed the paperwork last week to get my tubes tied. Any way's I am high risk too for postpartum. Any advice on that?
@sunshinewithsierra18 күн бұрын
We’re actually waiting to find out!! Congratulations 💛 there is something so special about the connection between a mama and her daughter, I wish you both all the best :) as far as postpartum, one of the things we’ve done is we have the signs and symptoms printed out and on the fridge, and I’ve gone over these with my loved ones as well. See here: www.postpartumdepression.org/postpartum-depression/signs/ If breastfeeding is possible, many studies say it lowers the risk as well quite a bit (but also if you can’t there’s no shame in that either- a fed baby is a happy baby either way). The biggest and most cheesy feeling one is I repeat mantras to myself throughout the day: think, “I am such a good mom”, “I am proud of myself”, “this baby already knows and loves me, and I know and love them”. Basically I’m surrounding myself with that positivity and letting these thoughts take root, and truly letting myself start to believe them. If and when the hormone drop does start to affect you after birth, go back to those mantras, know it’s okay to feel those feelings, but know that you also don’t have to identify with them! You can always tell yourself things like, “right now I feel _, but this feeling won’t last forever.” The truth of the matter is you are so strong and resilient and you will make it through- even if it doesn’t feel like it in the moment! I would look into your local area as well and find if there are any postpartum support groups (many hospitals have them too)! There’s no shame and community always helps! But as a little add on, if you do notice the symptoms and they are impairing your functioning or feel to heavy to carry alone, seeking help is a really brave and completely valid thing to do. More women experience this and get help for it than we may ever know! I will always stand by that being a mama is full of incredible sacrifices, but your mental health and well being doesn’t have to be one of them. Sending lots of love and well wishes for both you and your sweet little one 💛

Girl go straight for the adult diapers. I am one week post partum from my second and they’re just wayyyyy more comfy and convenient. The ice packs are surprisingly uncomfortable and rocky feeling down there and may actually make you feel worse. They do for me so I haven’t been using them. The peri bottle is important for sure! And so is taking fiber immediately with every meal after delivery so your poo comes out soft and doesn’t hurt or cause new hemorrhoids. Laboring down (letting your body take its time to move the child down, whether you are 10cm or not doesn’t mean it’s time to push) is a great way to avoid tearing or damaging your pelvic floor! Good luck and I hope everything goes well with you!

My baby was measured all kinds of stuff, his leg measurements were all over the place, from 5th to 65th percentile 😵 His head super broad, but then the head circumference small, which does't make sense to me... At some point I stopped paying attention to the measurements. Turns out, he came out normal, 50,5 cm at 39 weeks, 3 kilos, healthy. Only with the weight they were pretty on the spot shorty before birth. Also, I've heard that only 44% of estimated big babies are really born big, the rest was incorrectly assessed.
@sunshinewithsierra19 күн бұрын
I’ve been hearing that about ultrasounds!! Honestly my mantra at this point is if my body know how to grow this baby, my body will know how to birth this baby ❤️ super comforting to hear! As helpful as doctors are, I often find mamas who have gone through it have the best wisdom
@Suebearish20 күн бұрын
My second baby had a very large head and it made for a fast and intense active labor but as long as your pelvic measurements are adequate. You should be fine. Would encourage you to request a side lying position to deliver in. I had n ok stitches after his delivery
