I hear you. I was the same way before I started the build. Just could not find enough info on the swap so I figured f*ck "Do or do not, there is no try" and went for it. Any questions you have just ask away and I will share any info I have learned along the way. Wire harness is a yes and no answer. You need to Frankenstein the OEM rav4 harness together with the 3SGTE harness. So you butcher two good harness and get I swap harness. You can use what ever OEM transmission you have on your rav4 and just bolt it up to the 3SGTE engine. There are ways to use other transmission but for simplicity I used my OEM FWD 5-speed transmission off my rav4 and just used an upgraded clutch and light weight flywheel for a 3SGTE.

Just added the part numbers that I could find online. I used all parts from a doner car so I did not actually buy any of these parts using these part numbers so please double check everything to confirm fitment. Also a side note it seems if buying the parking brake shoe components from Toyota everything must be purchased individually. I found that Napa or ebay sell a complete shoe kit.
