@artemvsprime19 сағат бұрын
It’s quite literally one the greatest live performances of all time by a singer and should be universally known!

When it comes to real young female talent in the industry, its only H.E.R and Tori Kelly. The rest are trash

This song and Luther Vandross with Cheryl Lynn’s version, will stand the test of time. Both of the singers on the stage did a great job singing that song. He’s a great singer and she’s got a great voice too. But I could hardly hear her at times, I don’t know if the music was too loud, or what. Way to go!

Ive watched this video sooooo many times...and each time it's like my first time seeing it. I was blessed to see him 3 times live. This man was/is an amazing talented, gifted singer. We, his fans were truly blessed to live while he was alive. R.I.P Mr. Vandross. You were /ate loved, appreciated, and yes, we knew we were witnessing greatness. Truly, you are missed.
If I didn’t know better, I’d think Dionne Warwick was his lady, based on her screen time here. Maybe she was and I’ve got it wrong. But, yeah, this song and some of Luther’s others will bring you to tears even if you have nothing to be sad about. He’s just so powerful. Gone way too soon.

She was his musical inspiration, he covered many of her songs (like this one she had as a hit many decades earlier), and also sang duets with her. They were very good friends, he spoke with her often. This segment is tribute to her for her achievements, that’s why they keep showing her. He made the song his with his own take on it. Check them out singing live together many times, teacher and student
