EXTREMELY HIGH CANCER RATE IN HYDER. BAD WATER. MINE WASTE AND ABANDONED VEHICLES AND TOXIC WASTE HAVE RUINED THE WATER AND POLLUTED THE WATER TABLE. LOTS HAVE DIED FROM OR CURRENTLY HAVE CANCER. THEY WILL TELL YOU HOW CLEAN AND PRISTINE IT IS IN HYDER...DO NOT BELIEVE IT. THEY WILL ALSO SAY THAT YOU CAN LIVE OFF THE LAND THERE, NO WAY. YES, YOU CAN CATCH A FEW FISH BUT NO ONE IN HYDER LIVES OFF THE LAND, THEY ALL BUY GROCERIES LIKE THE REST OF US. WINTERS ARE 9 MONTHS AND THERE IS NO CELL RECEPTION OR RADIO. SATELLITE IS THE ONLY WAY TO GET TV OR RADIO BUT WITH 30 FEET OF SNOW IN THE WINTER IT IS CONSTANT WORK TO KEEP IT WORKING. HYDER LOOKS GREAT BUT UNDERNEATH IT ALL IT HAS MAJOR PROBLEMS.

IF CLOUDS ARE WATER EVAPORATED FROM THE SEAS LAKES RIVERS DUE TO HOT TEMPERATURES THEN HOW COME WINTERS COME WITH FAR MORE CLOUDS THAN SUMMERS WHEN THE WATER OF THE SEAS LAKES RIVERS ARE FREEZING COLD ? * * * IF CLOUDS ARE THE TRUE SOURCE OF RAIN HAIL SNOW THEN HOW COME IT DOES NOT ALWAYS RAIN OR HAIL OR SNOW WHEN EVER THE WEATHER IS CLOUDY ? * * * DOES IT RAIN HAIL SNOW FROM THE CLOUDS OR ARE CLOUDS JUST A COVER UP FOR THE OPENING OF THE BLUE SCREEN CALLED SKY ? * * * *

Sadly 11 years ago the glacier along the highway came all the way down to the lake. It has retreated an awful lot.

Great video with a lot of great information for those who never had the chance to get there. I will be there for the first time with a group of photographer friends this July and I just shared your video to our group messenger and everyone appreciated all the effort. One quick question, are you fully free to walk along the park without a guide? Thank you for your time and looking forward to watch more of your videos.
@angusexpeditions9940
@angusexpeditions9940 6 ай бұрын
Thanks ! Yes you are free to walk around with no guide, their are a few rules / guidelines to follow though which they talk you through when you arrive .. I should also mention that during the day there is generally a wait (not overly long) at the brook falls platform, the ranger takes your name and calls you over once it is your turn. enjoy your trip it is unreal !

My coworker got one night in Aug of 2025. I’m already packing 😂 she keeps worrying that it’s August and there won’t be as many bears. I say a pile a skat and a seeing Grazer would make me happy. And Otis, 747,856, 910s and on and on. Have a great trip.

This was a fantastic series. I admire your adventurism and you sure know how to have a great time! Your filming and photography were exceptional, and your editing skills brought it all together with a natural and interesting flow. The cost breakdown in the end was interesting and informative. It obviously isn't cheap to take a trip like this, but you and your lovely family now have lifelong memories and a very well-made video library to reminisce about. Thank you for all the work you put into all this, and glad that the fun and joy of it made it all worth it. God bless you and your family! Cheers mate!

Really appreciate the feedback mate it means a lot ! The kids are growing so fast and being able to reminisce with them is a big part of why I made this series - and it’s great if others can get something out of it to ! Awsome video. I do a lot of solo hiking and camping, and have encountered large black very close. Although not brown Bears it still creates a feeling of an exciting anxiety, and sometimes more so anxiety (fear) without the excitement. I understand the feeling of not knowing what's around the next bend in the path. Thank you for this great footage.
