Portland lost this series for 3 reasons. (1) They could play smart basketball in close losses on Games 1, 4 and 5. (2) They couldn't stop Isiah Thomas late in Games 1 and 4. (3) Bill Laimbeer had his way with Duckworth.

I can’t even say that I think the hate is he force his way to NY, recency bias, then he has to deal with the Jeremy Lin situation, and add on the Lebron James is also a problem.

@tylercanton3836 "so is lebron" lol 1) Melo is cancer because he's an inefficient ballstopper that's horrible at defense and teamball. 2) He gets his points to the detriment of team success. 0 First Team All Nba's and 1 Conference Finals' appearance in 20 years is a testament to that. 3) He only cared about money and stats till he got old. Proof being when he gutted NYs roster instead of waiting till free agency, STAYING on that "bad" team and declining Miami, Lin, Billips: 30 meant too much. I'll pay you if you can tell me where I lied.

@tylercanton3836 So is lebron? Lmao Melon is cancer because he's an inefficient ballstopper that's horrible at defense and teamball. 30 meant more than winning. You don't have to believe that, his old teams that will never retire his jersey believe it.

The fact that he even thought he had no offensive weakness actually became a weakness. The true greats learn to lift their team up, rely on them all while having the ability to dominate in one or two areas at ANY time. His BEST version was with the nuggets with JR and Birdman. They played like an actual team and even got to the WCF. He goes to NY cause he wanted the market and did NOTHING for that franchise and wasted good years there for both him and Phil Jackson. Only reason they made the playoffs in NY with Melo maybe once or twice was because the East was pretty weak in comparison to the west at the time. I respect the guy as an elite offensive basketball talent and a gold medalist. But that doesn't get you rings yo. Gonna be put in the basketball HoF no doubt cause everyone and their sister gets into.

Its weird how the last dance made it seem like pippen was picking up magic full court and shut him down as Jordan couldn't do it in the first game. Go watch game 2 tho. Jordan was on magic full court way more than pippen was and magic wasn't doing much. Then Jordan gets 2 fouls and pippen starts guarding magic and magic torched him. Idk why they made it look like pippen was such a key factor in the last dance. Jordan avg 31 and 11 ast.

I left one minute before they came back out on the floor (this was at a time when trophy presentations occurred n the locker rooms. The west side was a sketchy neighborhood and I wanted to beat any celebratory rioting. Oh well.

@Out The Net These false and bogus narratives about MJ's Finals comp, hell, the comp he faced in the 80s/90s in general, have almost SOLELY come from one fanbase. And if you're an astute fan of the sport these days, you know EXACTLY which fanbase I'm referring to. Because everyone outside of said fanbase knows that this is a campaign that they've been waging via social media, for a little OVER a decade now. With the smear campaign that they've been running, they'd put any corrupt politician to shame. They think that the best way to elevate their self-appointed GOAT/King in stature over MJ is to disparage MJ's era, thinking that in doing so, it'll discredit him by default. And that's why they put so much time/energy/effort into developing and pushing SO MANY anti-past era/player narratives.
