Most of this is speculations and theories and very little is confirmed, but ill try to keep it short The world is like that due to people ignoring their problems for thousands of years (confirmed), almost everyone in the Pale city is a victim of escapism, doing their hobbies or in different ways (part of the viewers were jumping from roofs), the eye monster is made of every viewer sucked into the TVs for watching it for too long (thats why their faces are deformed in this way), all the bosses are also brainwashed, smiling, not knowing what they're doing going by instinct without any specific goals (confirmed), the Hunter thought Six was an animal and kidnapped her (the digital comics explain further) to perform taxidermy on her like a trophy, just like the family in his house, his arm and down body is also stitched together implying that he lost parts of his body (maybe by his traps) and used taxidermy to replace them, that's his power basically, we shot him in the heart presumably killing him, he also wears bag on his head maybe to hide his deformed face, another explanation for why it's tied with a rope and has a shotgun hole could be that he tried... use your imagination, the Teacher thought she was teaching a normal class (the bullies have super natural strength... because they're porcelain... imagine being punched by a vase, they're also not very good students due to their lack of brain, their bulling is more extreme with every kid that isn't them, they also have 4 names that I forgot) continue teaching nonstop, not knowing shes writing nonsense at the board, she's obsessed with discipline and is constantly turning her head and watching her class thats why she is deformed with long twisted neck and never closing eyes, she's also very sadistic to the point where her original name was going to be the Sadistic Teacher, this can be seen in the detention room (the chess puzzle and the sounds of her beating a kid (from the digital comics) while we move above her, the Doctor also doesn't do his job correctly, he's a plastic surgeon and is constantly replacing parts of his patients that doesn't need replacing, not realizing he's killing them in the process (in the attic of the hunter there is a plastic mask and an arm implying he has asked him for help to replace his limps in the past), he also made the masks of Roger and some of the guests, operating from above on a patient usually is easier that's why his power is to craw on the ceiling, the Patients are people not liking their now deformed bodies and probably traumatized by the light on the operating table, that's why they freeze when you point it towards them, the Viewers are the rest of the residents whose hobby is watching TV, im not sure if they scream too loudly or suck the signal out of Mono when they kill him, it's also implied that Roger is from the city, the Doctor made his mask, he's constantly smiling and loves listening to TV The signal tower spreads the signal throughout the whole Pale city giving live energy to everyone including the bullies and the patients, I think thats why they're alive when they shouldn't be, its also why every monster is alive without needing to eat or sleep, but also is brainwashing and physically deforming them, because the monsters know Mono will become Thin man they all tried to kill him, that's why he wears a paper bag hiding his identity not knowing why the entire city is hostile towards him, in the tower gravity doesn't work, but its possible the tower/eye monster controls also time, time seems to be broken, not working properly, in the first game Roger's weaknesses is loud noises and he's scared of the clocks, but every clock was ringing at a different time, a cigarette was still releasing smoke even when nobody is around, but the most obvious example is the time loop Mono is stuck in Thin man is trapped in the tower and to not feel alone he kidnaps children or maybe, because he's trying to find Six? Mono is the only child hurt by the signal from the TVs and after freeing Thin man he kidnaps Six, trying to prevent what happened, he sends her to the only building that isn't crumbling, the tower, gives her the music box, opens to door so she could leave when she wants and tries to scare Mono away or at least catch him, that's why you beat him, he's just trying to catch you, but it becomes a self fulfilling prophecy and he fails Mono no longer needing the TVs to teleport with the signal, since the city is full of it anyway, teleports straight to the signal tower and his broken back heals, when Six dropps him from the very tall tower (on the sixth time she grabbed him after he jumps btw) he somehow survives and also lives in the tower without needing food, Mono has powers that make him more powerful than a regular human, the tower uses him as it's signal source (his magical signal spread is also the reason why everyone else isn't functioning as regular humans tho not immune to the negative effects), he's the only one not smiling and brainwashed, when he kidnapped Six that created her glitch which is more special that the rest and because he's turning slowly into signal, Mono was able to defeat him by blasting him with it and speeding the process, that's why he... devolves Monster Six is Six playing with the music box for years, the tower manipulated the time inside itself so Six can become an adult (the reason her arms are twisted is because she wrapped them around the music box as she grew), everyone in the city are victims of escapism, especially Six, wanting to escape from the real world in the tower with her favorite music box (she was playing with toys the whole game, when you go back and see), when we arrived she offered to play together, but we destroyed it, since it was the object of her obsession she turned back into a child and the tower started to reveal it's illusions showing it's true face There two reasons I think are most likely for why she betrayed us, the first is because we destroyed her music box and didn't stop despite her being in mental and physical pain, the second is maybe, because she realized we are the monster that kidnapped her, before going into the tower we never removed our mask The same way that Mono is the Thin man and collects hats, is possible that Six is the Lady, due to several masks being unlockable in the first game, having her powers and other reasons The digital comics and secret ending explain even more of the story, I tried explaining the story of the second game if you want I can explain also the first, I'm sorry for any grammar mistakes I've made, if you have questions ask them and also you can play the mobile game Very little nightmares while waiting for the third game

hi! probably won't make it to the layer 7 stream on account of work but i wanted to let you know that launching the red shotgun's chainsaw instakills the flamethrower enemies :^) hopefully an option you find useful enough to keep in your back pocket the red shotgun's one of the newer variants so knowledge of its particular perks and quirks haven't really entered the broader zeitgeist yet, but its damage output is kinda fucking crazy even without any punching involved, especially for how short its cooldown is
