What civic rivalry ? Utd and Liverpool hate each other because Utd won the 1st European cup, an then Liverpool won it 4 times. United never won the league for 36 years, while Liverpool romped it through the 70s and 80s. Then it switched the other way through the 90s and 2000's......Thats the rivalry , otherwise, why does it not manifest in Everton v City ?
