Why don't they make those Dashboards Waterproof ? ... to prevent Corrosion ! ... My speed Dials had to be replaced twice ! ... Now the Shop doesn't repair my Model ! ... It seems these things are made to break ! ... And you're forced to buy a New one ! ... Now my $4000 new one has those finicky Batteries ! ... It's almost Handicap Abuse ! ...

Best stairlift I have ever had, but the wiring loom on the handle has broken again and my nightmare landlord refuses to get the guy in who diagnosed the problem.

Yeah the armrest issues are a known thing with them , easy enough repair for people who work with stairlifts , but for the end user it can mean having no lift working. I’ve probably fixed 100 armrests over the years with them lifts.

Check the copper strip where it charges on, check to see if it charges at certain spots too, as could be the copper strip Other than that , check continuity from brush to the board Also, there’s a fuse in the motor area in that bundle of wires , just in case I’d check that too, prob worth doing before any of above

Acorn lifts are not worth it. I had one installed for my father when mobility became an issue with stairs. The lift for some reason stopped working altogether. He had to call 911 to help him get down the stairs. I received a phone call from the police about the situation and how scared my father was. Fortunately the police stayed with my dad until I arrived. I placed a phone calls to the person who installed lift. No phone calls after a week were returned. My husband and I took it upon ourselves to take out the lift and dump it. A month later Acorn decided to return our call.

Unfortunately you’re not the first and not the last to complain about acorn service in the US. They are fantastic products but have also seen for myself on groups on Facebook with people being left stuck. I personally despise the company acorn , love their products but not the money hungry people behind it.

I just trialed this in Australia last week, the seat is so uncomfortable and it is not a safe scooter unless using indoors in a building on level surface..

I just bought one (in the US) through the manufacturer Moving Life. Got a $500 discount on it. $200 off the scooter + $300 off on the accessories. You just have to wait for sales promos during holidays. There will always be some type of sales! They do finance for 12 months, no interest but you must pay a down payment.

Easiest lift in the market to change batteries on, pop off the cover , the batteries are there in front of you. Disconnect the connector from the main board and the batteries will slide out of the frame they are sitting in. You need 2x 12v 7ah deep cycle lead acid batteries , and not the cheap types , a good brand like Yuasa / Genesis / Yucell / Powersonic etc Shouldn’t take more than 5 mins PS: sometimes people tape the two batteries together prior to putting them back into the lift as it’s easier to handle them when reloading them back in

Wish it was more back suplort i went to check out scooters with my friend mom before my health got bad due to cancer side effects and what i didnt like its 1.too heavy to lift id like something lightweight but durable so i dont hit something and fall also i dont like some of the scooter dont have full back support not good for a senior to be be.sing ober so be nice if the seat was about to move forward if sunone dont wanna be too far back and back bent over and also to have the seat higher for comfort and i love the scooter in the video how you able to adjust the front part whish it was longer otherwise not a bad scooter

You can buy an orthopedic back rest. I just bought the ATTO Sport scooter and the back rest is an additional accessory. Well worth the money though. I have test drove it with and without the back rest. It makes a HUGE difference in the comfort level. The seat height can be adjusted as well. Ask your sales representative to help you find the correct height for your needs. I do agree with you regarding the weight. It is a bit heavy for me as well, even though broken down into two pieces. My Rep advise me to put a folding stool at the back bumper of my car so that I can bring it up onto the stool and slide in the pieces with a big beach towel. These are helpful suggestions with getting the pieces in and out of my van.

Typical mobility scooters do not run well in grass because of small wheels and little ground clearance plus limited power. Three wheeled scooters are more maneuverable for indoor use , four wheelers are more stable. Learn about battery maintenance and limitations of various type and brands of scooters. Teach beginning/elderly losers safe operations and battery charging. Buy a popular name brand scooter that will have service and parts available, (not the cheapest) A used mobility scooter may cost more to have repaired than it is worth or not have repairs available. I have had good service from my Pride Go Go Elite Traveler with minor repairs and battery replacements. Expect scooters to transition to much lighter longer duration Lion batteries in near future.

Hello, I have a Ventura DLX4 Scooter, it has a strange problem, sometimes it is stopped, and when I accelerate forward it does not do so, suddenly it accelerates with a sudden force that is dangerous to hit someone, sometimes it is difficult to start the acceleration . When I try to move backwards he does it with little force and with pushing. A technician changed the drivers, he said that was what he had, but he keeps doing the same thing. Any suggestions or help to repair it. I appreciate it a lot.

I I found an identical key switch replacement for my Active Care Prowler 3410 at my local Jay Car Electronics store at Botany Road Alexandria. It was Cheaper than the genuine replacement part. I walker into the store and there it was hanging on a hook for $15 AD

My Scooter lights drop very low on movement so "true reading" needs charge yes.When put on charge after a while it flashes green.But again when travelling it drops.So does battery need replace please help. Tony
