Hey, I was eight when I saw this in theaters!

My biggest complaint? Tom's character is thr most boring, forced protagonist I've ever seen. Great actor but they wasted so much time trying to get you to connect with this guy and it never works. Same thing, but to a lesser extent with Brie's character. Cut them out entirely, replace their time with John C. Reilly's character and the downed Japanese pilot because that was a story arc that had some potiental.
