Interesting question mate, so I’m on the R1 and my mate was on the ZX10. I blamed myself as the passing rider but the TDO only spoke to my mate about crossing the full width of the track to make the overtake (they obviously didn’t know he had a faulty steering damper), I was with him when they spoke to him and they knew I was the other rider but never had any comment for me. A couple of others I spoke to also said it was his fault but I need to be clear he didn’t do it intentionally, the damper was the problem. To avoid it, make sure your damper is working 😂.

My next outing is in September when a big group of us go to portimao, fingers crossed I should have some good footage from there 🤞👍

@@macca_mcneill67 Cant say I blame him. About time Akra started making pipes that pass all the UK track noise tests, not just Cadwell and Donnington. My Tuono is 103db which doesn't cut the mustard at a lot of tracks.

@@tripnut5702 Yeah UK noise restrictions are a nightmare mate, he has since moved back to a sportsbike and had to go through the drama of getting a set up that sounds good but is ok on track. It is a nightmare when we head south to cadwell as knockhill our local track doesnt have any concerns over noise to the lads the ride on the road have all sorts of exhausts then end up in a panic about getting on track!

You're going to have an amazing time mate, its a mega track and redline run a good event. I recommend doing the races, I did the 2nd day and not the 3rd day race and regretted it.

Decided I’m going to take my 1000 as I don’t think the 750 will do a track like this justice. Your bike sounds awesome, was this a GoPro you used for filming?

Fishter1 yeah the hero 7, it also had a cover on it to cut the wind noise, just a foam thing

MikSane honestly wish I had done it ages ago, I probably hung around in inters for too long but that’s where most of my mates ride. If you are towards the front of inters you’ll likely be fine in fast, there’s an overlap between the groups. Give it a try, worst case you get asked to drop back to inters.

10 minutes of the same engine sound (which doesn't come across great in the video) is too much for me. Unfortunately it's also the camera bike engine you hear in the video, not the beautiful V4 with SC project exhaust.

Cheers triplemacca, I've done a few trackdays, only one or two a year to start with, now doing a few more but family stuff always gets in the way! Just done 3 consecutive days at cadwell, my first ones of the year, bit of a slow start this year. There's loads of bits I can see to improve on in the video, hopefully get back to croft soon to try and put them right.

hi Lee, I have an aim solo and downloaded the dashware software (it's free!). then you load the video and laptimer data into it, sync the footage and data then pick what data you want on the video, they've got loads to choose from.

they were much better than the racetecs I had for the dry! the extra vibration from the tread took me by surprise but they gripped well, mine are a few years old but still worked well enough to get my knee down, just be careful at the hill too section, don't know the corner names but it was dead slippery (up the hill after craner curves, the tight right)

Appreciate the input Will. I've never tracked in wet so don't know what to expect but been caught on with supercorsa's when it started raining and they were lethal I got some pirelli wets that have barely been used but are 9 years old so thinking need to be changed really

+Dean “Birky” Birkumshaw no worries, my wets are almost as old, I've used them on a couple of days when it's been on and off rain, not tried them in really wet conditions but they're getting close to needing replaced, so I'll get a new set soon. my rear is normally a 190 but this was a 180 fitted, it came with my wheels so I was dead nervous but it was fine. good luck, another few weeks before I get on track again.
