These are amazing. Prices on the website are EX VAT, though. Shipping costs are high and handling and customs charges would ruin me. Last time I checked my size was still available, now it is fortunately gone. Still, there is a sliver of regret.

Anyone buying leather shoes from Division Road should understand a few key things first. Division Road goes out of their way to try to help you determine the right size by providing a good online guide and a call for first time buyers. The reason is that shoes from makers like Crocket & Jones or Viberg are notoriously hard to size and they are trying to avoid returns. Even within the same brand you will go up or down half a size depending on the model of last used or if they are the regular line or the hand grade line in the case of C&J. This would all be fine if you could simply order a few pairs and return the shoes that do not fit, but that is not the case with Division Road. They are a small company and cannot afford to take shoes that have ANY signs of wear. By any I mean ANY. The problem is that some leathers (for example the Coffee Hurricane hide for C&J) will immediately show signs of wear as soon as you lace them up and take a few steps to try them on no matter how careful you are. The vamp and quarters will show a break and the tongue will show signs of being laced. There is nothing you can do to prevent this. It is part of the profile of this leather. If you try shoes like these on they will not take them back and you are stuck with one or more pairs of very expensive shoes that do not fit. If you know your size in a particular last and grade then they have wonderful shoes and you should go for it. If not, my recommendation is that you find a brick and mortar retailer or a company with a reasonable return policy that is more aligned with the price point of the shoes they sell. Otherwise buy at your own risk.

The bottom of the last (what the boot is built around) is metal, and they are tack nails, so when they hit that, they bend and basically lock into place.

Quality control needs to be (atleast on par with Viberg). Not even at the level of Indonesian boots. Americans can do it, but these skills are just dying and maybe management is pushing for speed instead of perfection but anyone that has had a few pairs or studied pictures will know what I mean. By all means nurture these arts

Bet they all have tinnitus and on their way to hearing loss. (No plugs) I'm surprised at the scale of this operation. Idk anyone with viberg boots. They are expensive as fuck. The employees just rip right through the build process. I figured it would be a handful of people In a place half the size
