So are you allowed to park at the gate and walk past it to fish? I was up there yesterday but saw the private sign and didn’t want any trouble so I left. But I’d love to fish there

Jeeze, why have us watch two women read the results off a little computer screen instead of projection that screen on the video and letting us see (read) it for ourselves? What a way to use the technology. Do they think they're TV personalities?

How can they call the meeting to order AFTER they hear the OPEN TO THE PUBLIC COMMENT? How can they simply cut the public comment from the broadcast without so much as acknowledging who spoke and what matters/issue they spoke to? Then he says "it's a joy to have you here. These meetings go much better when we have people here." then he says "our first item is going to be our invocatio . . ." But the agenda says it is the second item on the agenda: December 4, 2023 at 6:00 PM City-County Chambers 905 West Avenue NW, Lenoir Caldwell County AGENDA Call to Order Chairman Randy T. Church Public Comment Period Invocation Chris Eidse, Pastor of Connections, Waterlife Church Pledge of Allegiance Commissioner, Robbie Wilkie Agenda Amendments from the Board, Manager & Public God thank you for the people who have power and resources to help make this place run. And thank you for the single moms and the many hopelessly addicted in our county, the immigrants and the minorities . . . amen And God, why won't these men air the public comments made by our citizens before each meeting?

Interesting. Trying to get this done since 2017, but didn't get the 4.5 million dollars until The American Rescue Plan Act from that damn "Big Government' complained of by the Destin Halls and maganuts now happily taking credit and PHOTO OPS for an infrastructure project long overdue due to politicians looking to service the voters first and the lobbyists last. Notice that 'heavy equipment?" Hear him say the steel tank is being fabricated and lines are being dug and pipe being manufactured and laid? All those machines needing operators, all those 'local' workers and jobs created here - and in locations all over America thanks to those "libtard' Democrats. Funny they invited that whole crowd of locals and never thought to ask anyone from 'the government' to get in the publicity pictures! I wonder if Joe'd have attended? Well we will never know since he wasn't asked. Ah, politicians, why do we vote for 'em?

I would hope that y’all will address the fact that there was demonic characters allowed to be in this years Christmas Parade. This should never have happened. Most of the small children were frightened by this. Seriously we are a God fearing City and there needs to be a Public apology.

Can u make jerky from canned meat?
@ccgtvcaldwellcountygovernm47738 ай бұрын
No. According to NC Extension Office it would not be a good idea. But here is a recipe for Deer Jerky. How to Make Jerky from Venison, Beef or Pork By Margie Mansure Hunting season is open for a couple more weeks in Caldwell County. At my house, venison disappears the quickest when I make jerky. Jerky is an addictive snack, and convenient to take on a hike or hunting trip. If you don’t have any deer meat, no worries. Just as easy and delicious made from beef or pork. Here is my method: Partially freeze the meat to make slicing easier. Slice meat no thicker than ¼ inch. Trim and discard all fat because it becomes rancid quickly. If a chewy jerky is desired, slice with the grain. Slice across the grain if a more tender, brittle jerky is preferred. Marinate under refrigeration at least 1 hour or preferably overnight for flavor and tenderness. Jerky Marinade 1 1/2 - 2 pounds of lean meat (beef, pork or venison) 1/4 cup soy sauce 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce 1/4 teaspoon each of black pepper and garlic powder 1/2 teaspoon onion powder 1 teaspoon liquid smoke Combine all ingredients. For food safety, make nearly 2 cups of the marinade for heat treating the meat: 1 ½ cups soy sauce 6 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce 1 ½ teaspoon each black pepper and garlic powder 3 teaspoons onion powder 6 teaspoons liquid smoke Bring the marinade to a rolling boil. Add meat strips, not too many at a time, and reheat to a full boil. Remove from the heat and place strips on a drying rack, close together, but not touching or overlapping. For safety and quality, a dehydrator should be used with the temperature set at 140ºF, or whatever the manufacturer recommends for meat jerky. Begin checking samples after 2 hours. Dry until a test piece cracks but does not break when it is bent. Once drying is completed, pat off any beads of oil with clean, absorbent towels and cool. Package in glass jars or heavy plastic food storage bags. Will keep at room temperature for two weeks. Refrigerating increases the shelf life and helps to maintain the best flavor and quality.

I am thrilled to find this video of you, Mary. You used to paint me and other things when you lived in Gastonia, NC in 1974-75 and taught art at a school there. You painted my portrait on cardboard, and I kept it to this day. You are so spontaneous, and yet capture the essence in all you do. I love your work. I live in Charlotte, taught English at UNC-Charlotte for 25 years.
