Couldn’t you just cut the triangles in the insulation, wrap it in fabric, and stack?

I've read the lab reports on it way back and it passes. They're somewhere out there if you want to look it up. It is not standard fiberglass insulation.

What would you say to Presonus HP4 if I connect 4 pieces of DT 770 Pro 250 ohms or 80 ohms

Have you ever used Beyerdynamic DT770 80 ohm headphones with the Presonus HP4? As I said above, I ordered an HP4 and it’s on the way now. But I’m still wondering if it will work ok. From what I read, it should. Keeping my fingers crossed!

Sorry to bother you, but can you tell me if it's any good? Presonus hp4 is a headphone amplifier for a small studio.

This is really helpful as I research this unit. What I’m hearing just through my TV is the first recording sounds like a home recording whereas the tube preamp made your voice sound more HiFi like which is exactly the direction I’m looking for in my vocals. Thank you

Demo snipettes are too long, should have A/B'ed 'em-5 seconds each. Nonetheless, the ART does work some magic. Thanks for taking the time to set up the demo-I subbed.

An old friend cut his fingers off using a saw wrong. He said his first thought was "what will my mother think?" and his next thought was, "will I ever be able to play piano again?" and his third thought was, "owwwch!!!" He managed to make a modified saxophone work with his remaining two fingers, at least.

Wow, what a difference. I just used my H5 for the first time tonight to record a practice for a blues band I'm in. However, I did get it primarily for outdoor use with my A6300 when recording vidoe. I have a Rodes hot shoe mounted mic but it isn't good enough. The birdsong is amazing on the H5. What capsule were you using?

4-channel headphone amp comparison videos are virtually nonexistent... and there are a ton of them on the market. My gut tells me to go with Presonus, but the ARTHeadAmp4 & AKG HP4E are close competitors.

Whats the approx density of your Roxul filling? Im trying to find an alternative material because we dont have it around here. Also, do you think porous polyurethane foams could be used for this? Density is about 3 lbs per cubic feet. Thanks

Thé problem is the focusrite .. doesn’t make sense using a tube preamp into one of the worst but unfortunately famous sound card out there .. Use the same mic preamp with a decent sound card from (Roland personus Motu ..) and you’ll be blown away by the quality delivered by that duo..
@ToddAudio

I can agree there. I wanted to show it on a more common interface and it makes some difference, but I often use it on a UA interface. One might think given the price points that the UA preamps are better on their own, but to me it's just a totally different sound. Yes there is a crisp clarity without it, but with the MPA it sounds much fuller and warmer, and you can dial it in how you like. Nice to have both options!

I a m looking for a cheap solution por monitoring our 5 members rock band with wireless in ears headphones. We have 12 channel Soundcraft mixer with only one AUX (stereo/mono) output and an additional dedicated main mix Headphoones TRS socket. Can we convert the stereo signal to MONO and just use MONO wireless In ears such as Xvive U4 for example?

Just found two dehydrated geese panting in the parking lot at work and this vid showed me that cups will not work and pouring it on the ground is the way to go. I now have two fully hydrated geese sitting happily in a puddle outside my office. Appreciate the tip :)

THESE ARE NOT BASS TRAPS. I've built 11 studios some for Grammy award winning artist. Many over 3000 sqft.. Porous absorption is only effective at 200 Hertz.. at 150 Hertz it has been found to be REFLECTIVE with a coefficient of .5 At 125 Hertz it's absorption coefficient is .2 OR INEFFECTIVE!!! in order to kill low end you MUST build membrane, Helmholtz or hangers designed very large.. placing rockwool chunks in a corner is a waist of money.. all this idiot did was create a high RT in the low end with a short RT in the high end.. Basically a muddy room.. Don't listen to people selling products on the internet.. listen to real designers explain it. Then you'll know what to build and buy.. this video is stupidity at its best

Did you build them alone with your bare hands? Please don't comment about how me or others watching my channel are idiots when you are not hesitant to be the biggest idiot. Almost nobody understands what you are talking about and you seem to take pride in that rather than trying to explain what you are talking about. If you really even know, please explain. There are thousands of people trying to do this with affordable home bass traps, and I am just explaining my approach. 11 studios! What a wonder! And SOME of them were Grammy award winners. WOW! And you think that has something to do with your studio planning, huh... maybe so maybe not. Maybe doubtful. You must be the very best if people who can afford it are paying just to put up with you for the end result. You are proud to announce your credentials but there is no evidence thereof based on what you are willing to share on your KZfaq channel. Please share in the comments to clear this up. I hope you can actually help here in some way

Does it have to be full, or would it be on to just have a layer across the front of the trap so you can save on the rockwool?

Thanks for the tut, fairly in-depth. But for the love of Larry, pls demo safe shop practices: wear a dust/fibre mask and long sleeves when handling rockwall, never ever ever ever reach over a table saw while cutting (!), and while your at it, put some wood or foam padding on a concrete floor to kneel on. My aged back and knees are still recovering after watching that segment. Plus, as someone also pointed out, an air gap = to depth of material is likely to improve acoustic performance. That said, those are fairly nice looking bass traps and the stackable approach is pure bueno :)

hi bro... when i turn on +48v my condenser mic dosent work but with other dynamic mics it sounds perfectly. have any idea? thnk u
@ToddAudio
@ToddAudio Жыл бұрын
Hmm. Sounds backwards since most condenser mics require phantom power and most dynamic mics don't. Start by checking the specs on your mics to make sure because it could just be that your mics are different from the norm. The 48v power switch could possibly be wired wrong but not sure and I doubt it. Don't test it with a ribbon mic or anything fragile.

IMO i think you should try doubled vocals for the verses and a vocal harmony for the doubled chorus vocals. That way, the 2 sections will still have contrast, while keeping the verse vocals thick enough. I found the single layer vox in the verse to be thin and drowned out by the instrumental.
