Thank you for creating such awesome resources! I found you on TPT awhile back and bought all of your RL and RI units. I love how simple and straightforward your material is to follow.

Can the 2nd graders write the notes fast enough? What would the differentiation be in the three post it activity for students who are not ready for the full activity as is?
@JessicaTobin Жыл бұрын
Writing sentence stems on the board would be a great differentiated way to help students! For example: "The characters in this story are..."

Hi from North Carolina. Even though I'm watching your video a year later, it was so helpful. It was just what I needed. I love all of your resources though. You are definitely a gifted teacher. Thanks for sharing quality content.

In your experience, which ELA structure seems to work best for upper elementary classrooms? Or would you say it’s completely the personal preference of the teacher?
@JessicaTobin5 жыл бұрын
One of my 4th grade teacher friends uses Daily 5 and CAFE in her classroom daily and absolutely loved it. I honestly think it's 100% up to the personal preference of the teacher, though. What works for some teachers may overwhelm other teachers!

This was awesome! Thanks so much for your time and all of your hard work! I have a question. I noticed on one of your small group tracking forms where you had the sticky notes that you had Monday-Thursday plans for each group. Did/do you meet with each of your groups all 4 days?
@JessicaTobin5 жыл бұрын
Yes! I was lucky enough to have enough time during my ELA block to meet with each group for about 12-15 minutes a day.

What do you think about putting multiple weeks worth of homework (maybe with the date due on the top of each page) in the 3 prongs so that you only have to stuff the folders with a book (optional) and a new recording sheet each week? I am looking for a way to make homework folders less prep time each week. I appreciate your thoughts!
