Hi Scott, I always thought the black and white CBS IDs looked dreary. But then it was B&W television so for that time in history, I guess it looked cool. I was born in 1962 and remember seeing that and then the CBS Color open for programs when the network did that. I personally own a few slides from the the mid 70s when the network announcer would say "This is CBS" to let the affiliates know it was cool to take local control. Thanks for the variants. I personally think the CBS Eye is the coolest logo ever designed.
