Things I canno longer do with a swiss: feed my dog any meat protein, trust that I am the safe space when terrified, live in a warm house

all german shepherds are like that not just the white ones , bit over done with the hair bit over the floor but if thats the true case it just shows your not grooming the poor animal correctly . i used to groom my 2 a good 2 hours each a day in the hot times , my girls younger sibling brother from another litter went to a home with 2 young boys and a little girl and the little girl couldn’t go any where without him being by her side even in the park he was beside her all the time and no one would get near her

I've had two white swiss shepherds and I will say they are super dogs very gentle and loving. Too old now but I wish I could have another one but at 79 it's too old😢

Our boy is quiet…rarely. Mostly light whines that sometimes jump into a high pitched register that almost goes beyond our ability to hear it. Then there’s his bark. Deep throated sending a vibration through your body. His growl at someone he doesn’t know, or like, is the warning that that’s bark is on its way. His size (45 plus kilos) in addition to just his growl is more than enough to warn people off.

Thanks for showing a video of the dog using a Kong! Most are of the people putting food in it. Looks like this pup is having fun. If I end up getting one, I hope mine enjoys it just as much. She's picky!

I have a Swiss Shepherd. She is the best dog I have ever had. She is nearly 9 years old. There are some challanges when they age. The breed is subject to some very specific disorders. Good luck on your journey with your beautiful dog.

He barks, he whines, he sings the song of his people. My baby is an opera singer, specially when I am home. My mother says he sleeps peacefully all day but the moment I get home he starts talking. I guess he is angry with me 😂

Yep. My Luna is 8 months but barks up a storm in the mornings when I let her in and the whines whenever she wants something or when shes napping and we're being too loud💀😂😂

Oh my, this sounds just like my little girl. Its normally when she isn't getting what she wants, like a spoiled little child (which she is as she is my baby girl) or when her brother goes out without her. It is so funny but you can tell they are very intelligent.

I've been thinking about getting a dog. I wanted to get a Swiss Shepherd, but I do not know if it would be a good first dog. @@jellybeancat7978 GET A CORGI!!! best dog breed, so help me. My latest is a Corgi 65%/Mini Aussie Shepard 35%. Her name is Sasha. She's such a fabulous tennis ball fetcher that she could almost play for a pro baseball team as a catcher. GET A CORGI!!!

Same dogs. Originally bred as White German Shepherds in America. Imported to Switzerland and bred there as White Swiss Shepherds. Different bloodlines now with different breeders.
