Amazing peace of Art. One big question, however, worries me a lot. If the jar is decorated with such beautiful ornaments to create an aura of beauty, goodness, and harmony, then why do they include in these ornaments images depicting the devil and propagating demonic forces, as for example on the jar you have shown? Those demonic ugly faces disfigure all the beauty of that jar and create a negative aura. Whether it was not possible to depict a beautiful face of a charming girl, or an angel, or a child instead of those demonic and monstrous ugly faces... Please answer this question...

In all ways, I think these are made to be viewed from a males perspective, and they are quite stunning. I would prefer in some cases not to have those soft and gentle themes to my decoration, as in a smoking room for instance. The bold and brash facial expressions on the ormolu are in harmony with the striking gold, and the weight of the dark marble.

@@ClassicalEndeavor Okay, I understand you well, but why do you see the strict and courageous image of a person only in the devil and evil forces? If you don't want soft and gentle faces, create characters of tough men with a good reputation. Can’t evil itself bring anything good and kind, and those works of art that you created are very beautiful and tasteful and are completely incompatible with statues symbolizing the devil and evil forces. I think they don't add formality to the cups and vases you make, but they do create a negative aura. As an artist, I would advise you to embody rigor and strength in good characters.

I am not the one who made the pieces, I read your comment and wanted to advise. I understand that beautiful imagery is soothing to the soul. A satyr is a creature from Greek storytelling that is a blend of nature and human. He is a man, and an animal. He has the qualities of nature and man. The art seems to evoke strong emotions and I think that’s why they choose to use it. The man that created these works lived and worked in France during roughly 1830-1880. The style of furnishings was wildly different than what is commonplace to be seen in contemporary interiors.

What a beautiful store! Thank you for the video! So many people are obsessed with Swarovski or Mikasa, but no one ever seems to mention Baccarat. Maybe the lacking is from my chichi middle-class crowd! Hahaha!

what does "charger" means in this context? I thought that it's just extremely overkill electronic charger

I think it's something like "flat plate to carry things". I'm going by the meaning I understand with the word "charger" and what I know about the piece in the video, but I could be wrong or misunderstood the question😅

A really magnificent piece and would only say that the first 30 seconds of film are not in great focus / clarity. This is somewhat made up in the latter part.

I am surprised that someone who worked on the Arc de Triomphe du Carrousel - which was built around 1806 - was still working 85 years later in 1891.

The National Archives in Paris actually document that Gouault restored the inscriptions on the Arc de Triomphe du Carrousel in 1857, where he is listed as a marble sculptor.
